Casa Gialla, Cortona-sunsets in the olive grove
Description
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene place. Listen to the sounds of church bells and birds in the olive grove. If you like a good walk you can walk up the hill to Cortona (you need to be pretty fit though!) or drive up, park in the free car park in town and walk back, the sunsets are breathtaking. The road to the house is a "strada bianca" a white road, although it's a narrow country road, all types of cars will be able to drive to the house. The space The 2 main bedrooms are up the stairs along with a bathroom (with a shower). The master bedroom is a really good size with 2 wardrobes but also room for children to sleep on the 2 comfy single folding beds provided (if you need extra beds). The kitchen has been newly fitted and all the furniture is new and in-keeping with the Tuscan style of the cottage. There is a downstairs double bedroom (one step down from the kitchen to the bedroom) and a downstairs bathroom with a bath (one step up to the corridor) so no need to go up the stairs. Guest access The entire house; the garage will be shut off as it contains the usual garage stuff like paint and tools. Other things to note There are some additional charges which include local tourist tax of 4 Euro per person for first four nights with a maximium total of 16 Euro which is payable to the Cortona council. Please pay this tax to the property manager on your arrival. Due to high gas prices we ask the guests to pay a winter heating surcharge of 2.5 Euro per cubic meter of gas.
