The lower level is unoccupied and currently used as storage. ⋆ Parking for up to 4 vehicles comfortably. ⋆ Guests are encouraged to explore the wooded forest, but please excercise caution for your own safety. *Guests DO NOT have any access to the Mazinaw Lake from the property. Other things to note * Please note: we are NOT a lakefront cottage and don't have any access to the lake. We are located across the lake. Also, we are located on the highway, so please expect regular noise from vehicles passing by. * 2 Bon Echo Provincial Park day passes are included for daily use during the stay. These passes are available during late spring till early fall depending on the park’s operational schedule. *We are located in a remote area with sometime disruptive cell service and potential for power outages due to inclement weather. We do provide Wifi but during power outage will be no running water or Wifi. Due to the remoteness of the location Wifi can be spotty at times. This is something we like guests to be aware of and to plan for accordingly. In the event of a power outage, we will try to accommodate as best as we can. * Remember to bring bug sprays/repellants for your stay. We are in the country and middle of the woods so we are always surrounded by bugs (mostly in the spring and summer months). We try our best to keep bugs/critters away from the cottage but due to the surroundings it is difficult to gurantee. Also, don't forget to make sure your furry companions are protected from ticks and fleas. * If traveling in the winter, be aware that this is a rural location with an uphil driveway into the property. It is highly recommended that you have winter tires and/or an all-wheel drive vehicle. * Dogs are always welcome but make sure to clean up after them. Dogs must be house-trained and well-behaved, please keep the dogs out of the bed and use covers on the sofas. Sofa covers are provided to cover both sofas as needed. Make sure they are not barking excessively, are never left unattended and unsupervised when outside as the highway is steps away from the house. Unfortunately, due to allergies cats are not allowed. * The property is located in a quiet and peaceful community, so please refrain from making noise past 11 pm. Even though we do not have any neighbors beside us, in a quiet setting sound travels exponentially. So please be mindful and be respectful to our community. *GARBAGE & RECYCLING: Our Township has extremely strict rules for recycling and will require us to empty and sort garbage if they spot recyclables in garbage bags. A $50 fee will be applied if the following garbage/recycling guidelines are not followed: - 4 blue bins have been provided for recycling: 1 for glass, 1 for paper, 1 for cardboard and 1 for aluminum and plastic (no food items with recyclables) - Clear plastic bags to be used for garbage. No recycling in garbage bag. * The tap water is safe to drink and has been previously tested. * Washer and dryer are available for use but please note detergents are not provided.
