Spacious Villa with private pool in countryside

Petite Hirondelles is a private villa with pool in sw France. The private villa sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, very spacious accommodation for a family. The private villa with pool is set in the heart of the French countryside and is surrounded by open fields as far as you can see. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday in sw France. Huge garden and 8mx4m private swimming pool . The house may also be let as a house to sleep 8 in four bedrooms, just ask for Villa Hirodelles. The space Petite Hirondelle sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, a king sized double room and a twin room. We can provide a travel cot and baby equipment at no charge, just ask. There is a large kitchen, fully equipped with stainless steel 4 ring gas hob / electric oven range cooker, microwave, work top electric oven, kettle, cafetiere, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer plus extra drinks fridge, toaster, lots of cupboard space, work tops and all the crockery, cutlery and pans required for a comfortable self catering holiday. The private villa has a breakfast table to seat four and a large dining table to seat eight. There is also an outdoor wooden table and chairs to seat 8, with parasol for outdoor dining. A large brick barbecue is ideal for cooking up the delicious fresh fish bought from the market. Petite Hirondelles has a very spacious sitting room with sofas and chairs to seat 8, a bookshelf filled with books (english and french for adults and children) and a smart tv with access to multilingual channels and apps such as netflix (subscription not included) There is wifi available throughout the house. Patio doors open out onto a terrace area. to one side is the outdoor dining and bbq area, to the other is a sitting area with outdoor patio furniture to seat 4. A gate with child safety latch gives access to the private heated pool area. The heated swimming pool is 8m x 4m and more than 2m deep at the deep end. It is surrounded by a large sun terrace ( a real suntrap - little shade except in the late afternoon/evening) with sunbeds for 8 people. We do not provide parasols. The pool is also alarmed to conform to French safety regulations. There is shade around the property at all times of day and you are welcome to move sunbeds to different areas of the property as long as they are returned at the end of your stay. A large grassed garden surrounds the property with views over open fields to one side and mature trees to the other. Lots of space to play ball games and for children to run and play. The garden is not enclosed but there is no immediate dangers for young children. The private villa with pool has plenty of space for parking immediately next to the house. It is set well off the village lane. Set in the heart of the French countryside, there are stunning views in all directions. The local rural French town of st Jean d'Angely with its twice weekly market, bars, restaurants and supermarkets is just a short drive away. Cognac (distillery tours), Saintes (Roman ampitheatre) , La Rochelle (seafood restaurants) are all within an easy drive and the coast with hundreds of km of sandy beaches is also a great day trip when staying at this private villa. As well as Cognac, Saintes, La Rochelle and St Jean d'Angely , Villa Hirondelles is centrally located for the cities of Bordeaux, Angouleme and Niort too. With good motorway access and airports in Nantes, Limoges, Poitiers, Bordeaux and La Rochelle too, it's east to travel to Villa Hirondelles. Family friendly things to do: Visit the world famous vineyards of Bordeaux, browse the traditional French markets in St Jean d'Angely, take the kids to the animal park in La Palmyre or the aquarium in La Rochelle, enjoy a delicious meal in one of the many restaurants or just lie by your private heated pool with a good book. Guest access Guests will have full access to the house, garden and pool. These facilities are not shared with anyone else. Two extra bedrooms and a bathroom are closed off completely when renting Petite hirondelles - if you would prefer access to the whole house, just ask about letting Villa Hirondelles which sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms. When renting petite Hirondelles the villa is still completely private. Other things to note Please ask as many questions as possible before you book. We want families to enjoy their stay , a rural holiday in France won't suit everyone - ask and we will be honest! Please remember that we really are in the countryside - a car is essential, if you forget something at the supermarket it is a 25km round trip!! The boulangerie is 4km away. There is nothing in the village - neither shops or bars. Please ask if you are unsure as to our suitability for your group. The house is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and everything will be in working order as we clean and check everything ourselves, if something is not quite right - tell us! You cannot charge your electric vehicle from our supply, it is against our insurance policy as it is a fire risk as we do not have a dedicated charging facility and also have a limited electricity supply. There are numerous charging facilities in the local town. No loud music, radio, parties, events or anything else that would cause a disturbance to the residents of the village, sound travels a long way in the countryside, the neighbours will call us and we will come to stop the disturbance. NO PETS . An optional cleaning service charge of 95€ can be paid for onsite, otherwise you must clean the cottage yourself. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the house and if smoking outside you must use an ashtray and not smoke near open windows. When renting petite Hirondelles part of the house ( 2 extra bedrooms and a bathroom) are inaccessible (locked with a padlock) unless you rent the whole of Hirondelle villa at double the charge (4bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) No one will reside in this locked part of the house but you do not have access. In April, May and June the pool is NOT heated. Heating the house - We will include 10€ per day of electricity for the house but over that amount you will have to pay the going rate for the electric. (approx 0.2516€/kwh but will be confirmed when booking) A pre payment of 50€ per week will be required on arrival for which a receipt will be given. A refund will of course will be given should you not use more than the 10€ per day. A reading is taken on arrival and on departure, the bedrooms will be at a temperature of min 18c on arrival. The house has a log burner which you can use but you are responsible for buying wood. It is often beautiful warm weather at these times of year and you may not need heating at all. Unfortunately we cannot forecast the weather and temperatures and in order to offer a reasonable low rental price we have to have this rule. Thank you for your understanding.
