Description
Thank your for considering a stay in our home for your visit to Moscow, the University of Idaho or Washington State University, or the surrounding Palouse! Our hosting experience with Airbnb is a work in progress. My wife and I have finished out our basement with an apartment. We move downstairs to ready our main house to occasionally share with guests. Some of our photos might show rooms with slightly different decorations or minor furniture changes. Please understand. Thanks. The space We would love to share our charming and unique home with you. You will enjoy a warm open and spacious design, with great natural lighting, views in almost every direction, decks, tranquility, and more. You are only a 20-30 minute walk to downtown Moscow, the Farmer’s Market (Saturdays 8:00 to 1:00, May through October), the University of Idaho campus, restaurants, and brew pubs. Or a 20 minute drive to Pullman and Washington State University. We have nearly two acres located on a dead end road with very little traffic, and our sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. Sit and read inside beside a sunny window, relax on our decks (weather permitting!) while enjoying the view of Moscow Mountain or Palouse fields, or take the short walk to downtown or campus. Our home is the perfect stay for a university visit or business, a quiet vacation, or as a home base to explore Moscow and the surrounding Palouse. Welcome! Guest access There is free parking for 2-3 vehicles, either in our driveway or on the street along the front of our home. A touchpad door lock on our front door will provide trouble free self check-in. And there is local management support nearby. You will have complete and semi-private access to the grounds, a picnic area, decks, and the main house. The basement apartment, garage, and office off the entryway hall are not accessible. My wife and I may or may not be staying in our basement apartment. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and an island with 2 chairs. Off the kitchen is a Butler’s Pantry, with its own utility sink and stacked washer/dryer. The open design spreads out from the kitchen to a dining area, and on to a living room with a gas fireplace. The living area is backed up to a curved and sunny wall of windows. A large bedroom is on main floor. It features a comfortable queen bed, large closets, and its own bathroom. The airy, open loft features a queen bed with a bathroom and shower. Other things to note This is our home, not a condo or commercial rental. There are 2 steps up to the front door and 14 steps up to the loft bedroom. Please note that the decks, sidewalk, and driveway can be very slick when icy. Our Wi-Fi is connected to the internet via 100Mb fiber optic service. Our TV has streaming apps , but no cable or broadcast channels. You will need your own logins for the streaming apps. Our stereo sound system supports either Apple AirPlay or the Play-Fi and Spotify apps and plays through our vintage Klipsch Heresy speakers. It can be very windy at our house. We don't find it troubling to sleep on windy nights, but understand that you may. Our front deck is mostly sheltered, but the side deck might not be usable due to wind. Please consider this when booking. Also, in the winter, if the roads are bad, all wheel drive is recommend. This space is “No Pets” for Airbnb. However we have a dog so please be aware of that if you are allergic.
