Solitude on Loon Lake

The Shack is the only open cabin on the entire lake!  Surrounded by blankets of snow covering the evergreens and frozen lakes, Loon Lake truly is a winter wonderland.  The two bedrooms can be configured with two twin beds in each or a king bed in each or a combination.  Sit by the massive stone fireplace on the sleeper sofa enjoy a relaxing evening looking out your window to see the northern lights or dark starry night. Be sure to bring your swimsuits and enjoy a private lakeside sauna! The space Winter’s up at Loon Lake are magical.  One can experience peace and quiet of real solitude with winter activities right outside your cabin or a short drive away.  Winter is the best time to see moose, wolves, and the northern lights.  Loon Lake offers exceptional ice fishing for lake trout and endless nearby winter activities. Activities include over 70K groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing, snowmobile trails, dog-sledding, wildlife viewing, and a private lakeside sauna. Guest access PET FRIENDLY- $30 a night per pet. Pets MUST be registered before arrival. Please KEEP PETS OFF THE BED and other furniture. We ask that pets be crated if left alone in your cabin. Let your dogs roam free outside since you are the only guests on the entire lake! Pet owners are responsible for proper pet waste disposal and all damage caused by pets.
