Destiny is a dramatic beachfront villa on Jamaica's south coast in the parish of St Elizabeth, in the fishing village of Treasure Beach. Destiny provides direct access to Billy's Bay Beach, which is reachable by stairs and a gated pathway. Destiny offers numerous optimal sea views, spacious rooms, and complete privacy. It comes with two pools: an infinity pool with an expansive deck and a lap-size pool, both with multiple lounge chairs to relax and gaze out to the Caribbean Sea. This rental listing is for the use of 2 bedrooms for 1-4 guests. There is an additional listing for 3-5 bedrooms, 5-11 guests. Whatever the number of guests in your group, you have exclusive use of the property. Destiny features five artful, A/C and ceiling-fanned, in-suite bathroom bedrooms, an outdoor half-bathroom, a modern kitchen with new appliances, a music/TV system, and a WiFi connection for BYOB laptops. The long portico was remodeled in the Summer of 2022, adding an infinity pool (the 2nd pool) and expansive surrounding decks with multiple sitting areas. The large, full-sized pool has a sizable sunbathing area with multiple lounge chairs and is surrounded by mature trees and manicured grounds with sea views. Destiny's full-time staff, cook, housekeeping, groungs/pool man - Nadine, Girlie, and Chinny will accommodate all your needs. Nadine, your head cook, is happy to prepare you breakfast and dinner of local cuisine and/or continental dishes. Girlie assists in the kitchen and makes sure the property is tidy, with all of your daily needs being cared for. Boat excursions are arranged with Ritchie when you are at Destiny. - - - The closest international airport to Treasure Beach is Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. Destiny is approximately 60 miles from the airport and takes about 2.5 hours by car. The drive is a fantastic introduction to Jamaica that takes you through the mountain border of the cockpit country and along the Southern Coast. We can organize a PPV insured/certified driver, UAN, who will meet you at the airport (in Montego Bay or Kingston), or another location you are departing from. Uan will take you to a currency exchange (much better rate than the airport) if you desire. He can also stop at a grocery/liquor/pharmacy store for you to pick up any supplies you forgot or may need for your stay (if SHAN is not pre-stocking the property for you) -- bank/credit cards are accepted at these locations. UAN can also be your driver for local outings and excursions. Please inquire about airport transfer and excursion rates. - - - Jamaica's famous Appleton rum, Red Stripe beer, and miscellaneous food staples are available at small shops less than a 2-minute walk from the villa. Any specialty/luxury items will need to be purchased in either Montego Bay or Kingston on your arrival OR requested through us to pass along to your cook, Shan, who will purchase them in Black River, where there are fully stocked grocery stores (40 min. from Treasure Beach). PLEASE NOTE - a taxi/driver fee is added to your grocery receipts for any trips to Black River. Local restaurants, "Cook Shops" and "Rum Bars" are within walking distance or just a few minute's drive away. ---- If you plan on renting a car/driving yourself And Have Never Driven to the South Coast -- PLEASE MAKE SURE you have Enough Daylight on your side after you land and get your rental vehicle. It helps to have daylight to see the roads and intersections...signs are not always clear, street lights are minimal to none, and there are many crater-sized potholes along the way (it is not like driving on the North Coast Highway). ---- FYI - Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) is approximately 100 miles from Destiny and takes about 3.25-3.5 hours. A cook, housekeeper, and grounds/pool man are provided. We suggest you pay 15% of the rental rate for Staff Gratuity. This is paid on island directly to staff at the end of your stay. Stocking of Groceries/Pantry Supplies: NADINE, can pre-stock your arriving meals and a couple of the following day's meals, plus some basic pantry supplies. Thereafter you discuss meal options directly with her.
