The space This modern, spacious home is situated on a hill in the neighborhood of Rosehill above the welcoming village above Soufriere. You will find several amenities and activities within walking distance. You'll find locally inspired decor sprinkled around a modern yet comfortable sanctuary in nature. A minimalist feel pervades this fully self-contained vacation rental stocked with all necessities. Though the house has no AC unit, all rooms have high-powered ceilings and standing fans. A cool mountain breeze blows through the windows and doors, but bugs don't often come into the home because they are screened. The bathroom offers refreshing cold and hot water showers. The apartment has yoga mats and various helpful home items. The neighborhood does experience occasional water lock-offs and high water pressure from time to time. Dominica does have load shedding every several months, and the village might go without electricity for a day. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment and washing machine (located under the stairs). There is a grill outside that they can use. Other things to note Grocery Stores: Roseau has the best selection of grocery stores with the most options. Fresh Market, Whitchurch, S-Mart, and Astaphans are all large stores with a wide variety of selection. The municipal market has a great variety of fruits and vegetables, located on the Roseau Bayfront near the Roseau River. It is recommended that you do your main grocery shopping in Roseau before arriving in Soufriere. Soufriere has a mini-mart with necessities but a limited fruit and vegetable selection. There are some other shops with snacks and biscuits. There is a vehicle that drives around in the morning selling fresh bread. They will pass by and blow their horn.
