A large double bedroom in a friendly household in Hove. Guests should be dog lovers, as we have a miniature schnauzer, Olive, who lives with us and is super friendly and loves cuddles; however, she is protective and will bark when you first enter the house. I live with my husband, who is cabin crew. and is often away for work, and I work from home most days in my office on the 1st floor. The room is suitable for a professional person or couple who are tidy and considerate guests. The space This is a private room at the front of the house, with a double bed and access to the middle-floor bathroom and the first floor (Bathroom is private for guests only). There is a cupboard with hanging space and a drawer for guests' use, plus an Alexa device for listening to music. An iron & board, a clothes airer, an umbrella, extra blankets, a Dyson fan/heater, and a small TV with Freeview access are available in the room. There is a 'phone charging cable' next to the bed, along with an international adaptor in the room. Guests can also use all kitchen appliances, relax in the lounge or small back garden on the ground floor. We have new garden furniture this summer and encourage guests to enjoy the morning sunshine. A washing machine and an airer are also available on the ground floor. Guest access Ground floor: Lounge with two sofas and a dining table, a kitchen with a breakfast bar and a small back garden. We ask that guests using the kitchen keep the space tidy and clean once they are finished. A separate WC is located under the stairs First floor: Large private bedroom at the front of the house, plus exclusive use of the bathroom during your stay with shower/bath and WC (We have our own bathroom on the top floor) Second Floor (loft): It is a private floor and not accessible for guests. During your stay I work from home in my office and stay home most of the week, with our dog, Olive. I travel for work as well. My husband is cabin crew and travels regularly. We are happy to help with local directions and recommendations during your stay and want guests to feel comfortable while staying in our home. Other things to note We are a tidy household, and we request that guests be respectful of the communal space and leave it as they found it. If you need anything during your stay, please let us know - we will probably have what you need. NB: There are 2 doggy cameras located on the ground floor to watch Olive, the dog, when we are not home. They face the front window in the lounge (where Olive sits when we are out) and the back garden door if we leave it open. They use AI to detect "animals" only, and we will point them out upon arrival, with a green light indicating they are switched on.
