Tawny Owl Barn

Tawny Owl Barn is a 200-year-old, grade 2 listed, tastefully converted barn in the village of Leintwardine. A large garden is available for our guests which has a wildlife pond and waterfall and another barn with an open fire available for sitting around. Rooms are spacious, well furnished, and well-equipped. There is a large kitchen/diner and lounge plus two bedrooms with en-suites. A large lounge settee can also be used as a double bed. There are two pubs and shop within walking distance. The space The barn has a large lounge area with two settees (one of which converts into a double bed if required) plus armchairs, a large folding table and a coffee table, an electric fire, high-quality TV and a built-in bar area. The kitchen-diner is spacious and includes a table with four chairs and has an oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and is fully equipped with utensils. There is also a large cupboard containing a washing machine. Please note that there is no downstairs toilet but both ensuite bathrooms upstairs have their own toilet and wash basin. Guest access Tawny Owl Barn has two keys supplied to open the front door. One is a Yale type and the other a larger key. We hope to be able to greet you and hand over the keys ourselves, but if we are out, there will be an alternative method of getting the keys when you need to gain access. We will let you know the location of the keys after you have texted us when you are nearby. Regarding car parking, on arrival, please drive in through the black metal gates and then up the drive towards the two carports. Parking space one is accessed by turning your car into the left side driveway next to Barn Owl Cottage, (the thatched cottage). The second car parking space is in front of the right-hand carport but please don’t block the left-hand side if the white Tiguan is parked there! More detailed instructions are found in the House Manual within Tawny Owl Barn. Other things to note We always like to greet our guests personally and give you your keys. After you have looked around Tawny Owl Barn, we would like to show you around the garden, so you know the garden space available to you and to explain the use of the Dutch Barn. With a thatched cottage nearby, we need to explain some conditions we have to meet regarding fire and naked flames. If you need any further help with any information not included in the Tawny House Manual, then please do ask us. We are always happy to help. There is a ‘Garden Room’ at the back of the cottage so you can always come and knock on the door if you need us.
