Bramston Beach Cottage - family friendly getaway

Bramston Beach is the place memories are made. There is a charm to Bramston that has to be experienced. Situated approx 1 hour south of Cairns, you can be sitting back and listening to the sound of the sea with a drink in your hand before the weekend has begun on a Friday. Less than 150 meters across the road from the beach, our well equipped 2 bed family beach cottage sleeps 6, is family and pet friendly, fully air conditioned and will have you relaxed in no time. The space Bramston Beach Cottage was built in the 60’s and has maintained its original mid century charm while also having modern facilities. The kitchen has a new stove, new fridge/freezer, new microwave, and is well equipped for the most keen foodie, there is a 6 burner BBQ outside. There are two bedrooms, the master with a queen sized bed and lockable door, the second room has a double/single bunk with a single trundle. There is a portacot available to use on request. The large comfortable lounge is perfect for relaxing as the sea breeze floats through the louvre windows and our Smart TV can easily connect to your phone or tablet hotspot. The small kitchen table seats four, however the large outdoor setting will seat a family of six comfortably. The bathroom & WC are both modern and located inside the house and there is an outdoor shower at the front of the house for washing off all the beach sand easily! The beach access is a short 200 meter stroll down the road from the front door. For the keen fisherman, a tidal boat ramp is a short drive or you can fish off the beach straight in front of the house. We recommend purchasing supplies/groceries beforehand at Innisfail or Babinda (20ish mins in each direction) as amenities are limited once at the beach. The cottage is our family beach home. Our children thrive here in the fresh air with space and freedom to explore in the outdoors. Wet or Sunny we always have fun at the beach. Some of our favourite activities are: rock sliding down Josephine Falls, swimming at the Boulders, having Pies from the Babinda Bakery for lunch, BBQs after a visit to Babinda Meat Mart or Midway Butchers in Innisfail, boating over to the Frankland Islands and spending the day exploring the shores and crystal waters snorkelling, catching coral rout at the reef, setting out crab pots, catching pippies when the tides are right, fish and chips on the sand, tree climbing, sand castle making, floating or kayaking down Babinda creek, Cassowary spotting and soaking in all salt and sand and fun we can. We hope you can also make memories with your family here. There is ample parking for vehicles and boats. Small pets are considered, however animals are not permitted on the lounge or in bedrooms (please note there is no fenced yard). If you would like some recommended activities around the region please don’t hesitate to ask once you have booked. Guest access Access to all areas of the property with the exception of a locked store cupboard in the kitchen, a locked linen press in the bunk room and the locked shed in the backyard. Other things to note Grocery delivery from Major Supermarkets in Innisfail is available, however if you want to avail of this option we recommend you pre-order a few days before your stay as delivery windows are limited.
