Relaxing desert retreat, minutes from downtown!
Description
Welcome to our hillside getaway: The Lazy Roadrunner! Beautiful desert landscape, gorgeous views of the Catalina Mountains by day and city glow by night. Enjoy your morning coffee while birdwatching from the sunroom. BBQ on the back patio while you watch the sunset. A 5-minute drive to the Mercado San Agustin/ Annex for local shopping & restaurants. 7 minutes to the heart of downtown. Located next to Sentinel Peak Park, Tumamoc Hill, and other incredible hiking trails. The space Situated on a third acre, the Lazy Roadrunner is on the edge of the desert which invites the wildlife in. Common visitors include Javelinas, Mule Deer, Cottontail Rabbits, and so many birds (including the namesake- the Greater Roadrunner). We love the location because it feels "far away" but is so close to some of Tucson's best restaurants and attractions. The house was built in 1943 and has vintage charm, cozy beds and great spaces to hang out (the back patio for barbeques and the yard for relaxing). Guest access You'll have access to the whole property, except for the attached guesthouse (The Sleepy Quail) and the small patio outside of the entrance of the guesthouse (upstairs from the Lazy RR patio). If you want to book the attached guesthouse - search for the listing which sleeps 6 and is for the entire property: https://www.airbnb.com/h/lazyroadrunnerandsleepyquail We provide a key to access the washer & dryer in the garage. Guests of the Sleepy Quail may walk through the patio to access the shared washer/ dryer. Other things to note The house is on a septic system. This is super common in the area, but please make sure that no wipes/ hygiene products go down the toilet (toilet paper is fine) and nothing goes down the kitchen sink (please put food scraps in the trash).
