Get more vacation time for your money. This 2 bedroom 1.5 bath is the perfect mountain getaway. Conveniently located to Wintergreen Ski Resort, multiple wineries, breweries, and cideries, this location is ideal for those that want to unwind and relax. Did we say that the property is LESS THAN 10 MINUTES TO MILL CREEK LAKE!! Beautiful lake with a sand beach, swimming, kayaking and playground for kids. With close access to the Appalachian Trail, guests can experience varieties of hiking trails, waterfalls, and breath-taking mountain views. The cottage is equipped to be your home-away-from home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, beautiful countertops, and a grill out back. Enjoy your morning coffee from the second floor porch and soak up the mountain views. With four Adirondack chairs, an evening around the fire pit is a MUST. First Floor: The first floor features the updated kitchen with exposed original wood beams, roomy living area with a flat-screen TV, HIGH SPEED INTERNET with a small work space and windows that fill the space with natural light. Second Floor: The second floor has two bedrooms (queen size beds) and a shared full bathroom. Porch is on the second floor and offers views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Guest access The entire cottage and a beautiful 2 acre yard is available for our guests - great for kickball. croquet or just laying out and looking at the stars. You will notice a large lake on the backside of the cottage that you can view from the upstairs porch. The lake is NOT available to guests and is private property. We ask that all guests respect the property and do not attempt to access the lake as the cliff is extremely steep and dangerous. Other things to note PETS: Well behaved dogs are welcome per approval of the owner. No more than 2 dogs at the property unless we give special permission. Cottage does not have a fenced in yard, so please keep that in mind before bringing your furry friends.. Please pick up after your dogs. Cats are NOT allowed due to a severe cat allergy by the owner. WILDLIFE: This mountain cottage is the perfect place to unwind and experience nature. This is a rural area and wildlife are common. This may include deer, fox, possums, eagles, hawks, skunks, bears and others. Please use common sense. WIFI: The cottage is equipped with high speed WiFi and streaming access. AREA: We want to inform our guests that this is a rural area and access to grocery stores, ABC stores, etc. are within a 15 minute drive to Amherst County or Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). In the welcome manual, you will see the grocery store and ABC store listed for reference. Please make sure to read our welcome manual located in the cottage. This has important information such as emergency contact information, food recommendations, wineries, breweries, cideries, and anything else that you may need during your stay. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: - NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND (this includes vaping) - NO college students or Spring Break groups - While children are more than welcome to stay at the cottage, please be aware that you will have to bring your own pack and play/crib, etc. - Amenities include free WIFI, streaming services and a fully equipped kitchen. - Guests receive a "starter pack" of laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, paper towels and toilet paper.
