The Quilted Cottage

Relax and unwind in this beautiful lakefront cottage on the beautiful Lake St. George. Our cottage has been family owned for over 65 years. Enjoy a one mile walk or drive to our local Lake St. George Brew Company, John's ice cream and Lori's café. Lake St. George State Park and public boat launch are just a half mile on Route 3. Scenic Belfast is only 18 miles down the road. The Five star housekeeping is completed by local Lake St. George Property Maintenance. The space The first floor has 1 bedroom (queen bed), a full bathroom, living room and full kitchen with island separating the dining area in front of a large picture window overlooking the lake from the east. A door in the kitchen gives access to the large lakeview deck that wraps around to the side. Comfortable outdoor seating and covered dining table allow you to relax and enjoy your meals outside. The large 14' lakeside dock with wide steps allows you to get into the crystal clear water with ease. Enjoy the sunrise and early morning sun sitting on the dock. There is a cushioned porch swing under the deck looking out to the water. Guest access The entire upstairs is closed off to guests. The two small rooms upstairs are not finished and not to be used by guests at this time. Additionally, the garage on the property is off limits to guests and will remain locked. Other things to note Fishing permits are required to fish anywhere on lake, dockside, in boat or wading. If you wish to fish during your stay, you will need to obtain the proper permits from Liberty municipality. No washer or dryer on site. Lake St. George is a spring fed lake in which most of its residence pull water from for running tap water. The water is all pumped in and filtered under the house. This water is safe enough to drink but not recommended. We recommend you bring bottled water with you for drinking. No smoking permitted in the cottage at anytime.
