Surrounded by acres of farmland and native trees you will wake each day refreshed and ready to take on the tourism capital of the world just 12min away The space Our country cottage is located on acres of farmland right in the middle of Queenstown, Arrowtown and Frankton (Queenstown Airport) making it the perfect location to enjoy your visit to Central Otago. We have uninterrupted views to Coronet Peak & the Remarkables and the road to Coronet Peak is literally at the end of our road - great for the ski season! Or summer biking season too. The two identical bedrooms have queen beds, bedside tables and a full wardrobe system and hangers. Between the bedrooms is a large bathroom, with full sized bath, separate shower, heated towel rail, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Our full sized kitchen has a two seater breakfast bar, and everything you need to cook your meals including a oven, gas cooktop, rangehood, full sized fridge/freezer and pantry. We will supply the basics – oil, salt, pepper, spices, tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Please provide your own food. The laundry is also full sized with a new washing machine, condensing dryer, sink, washing powder, iron and vacuum. We have a dining table suitable for four people and a large comfortable couch to stretch out on. Our large flatscreen tv is wall mounted and able to move if your watching TV in the kitchen, or on the couch. Outside we have a decked area with views up to the north facing Coronet Peak, and a grass area to the side of the house. There is outdoor furniture for you, and a BBQ too. We have free, safe onsite carparking close to the property suitable for two cars. We are a little environmental around here. There are no bin liners on the rubbish bins, we offer containers to store food and there is a scrap bin if you wish to feed your food scraps to the chickens instead of the landfill. We have stainless steel pegs on the line, and we also use all EcoStore products as we have a refill station in Queenstown allowing us to refill our plastic bottles rather than bin them. There is a portacot if you have a little one with you. And a bench attachable high chair and some kids toys/books. The house is baby and child friendly, all on a single level and fully fenced. We also allow pets but do ask you keep them out of the bedrooms and off the couch. There’s a lot to do close by, towards Queenstown you have Onsen Hot Pools & our World Famous Shotover Jet - a mere 6 mins drive away in Arthurs Point, where you will also find the new Broken Heart Gin Bar, Cargo Craft Brewery & Restaurant & Canyon Craft Brewery & Restaurant. In the other direction we have Artisan Kitchen and Akarua Wines is 7min towards Arrowtown, and world famous Amisfield is only 8min away. Queenstown is a 12min drive, Arrowtown about 15min and the airport 17min. We really are in the best little pocket of rural living in the middle of everywhere you want to go. Guest access You have your own driveway and parking for two cars. The key will be left out for you, if you plan to arrive late, let us know and we can turn the lights and heating (or cooling) on for you. Free, secure parking on site, even for a campervan if needed. Other things to note Our family home is situated above the cottage. Access to our family home and yard is not included with this booking and is our private residence. Please feel free to take a walk around the naturally landscaped grounds of our property however please respect our home and walk around the gardens only - not around the family house. We have two dogs, twelve chickens and a 6yr old daughter. I'm sure you'll get to meet at least one of them during your stay here
