Description

It is a quiet place to stay for several days as a base to calmly get to know the surroundings; just minutes from the Baker River and Lake Bertrand, about 1 hour from Patagonia / Cochrane Park or to the north less than 1 hour from Catedral de Mármol. We are 4 km north of Puerto Bertrand, away from the dust of the R7 in the forest! As Patagoniaventura has been doing for over 20 years, we offer tailor-made experiences to explore our region and we can help you discover the best of Patagonia from here. The space Our fully-equipped Rustic cabin for 7 people is at your disposal and invites you to completely disconnect from technology! Wake up calmly with the birds singing, read a good book under the trees, meditate on the banks of the stream, enjoy talking in the warmth of the wood stove or simply rest after a day of adventures in nature. You can enjoy this cozy space feeling at home! You can even use the gazebo area if you like grilling. Surrounded by a forest of Nothofagus, mainly Lengas, it offers us the possibility of connecting with this beautiful natural space, habitat of various species of local birdlife; you can see woodpeckers, parakeets, owls, hares, skunks and the occasional visitor from the surroundings, such as cows and horses of our neighbors in the area! Perhaps you'll be tempted to try your luck in the stream, whose clear waters provide a haven for trout and other salmon species that visit or live in one of the nearby pools during the season! Guest access From the R7 - Carretera Austral, enter through an inner road about 500 meters. (A turquoise vertical sign indicates the entrance). You'll cross a stream that has little water in summer (everything from low-riding cars to 4x4 trucks have crossed here, so there's no need to be alarmed). Until you find the first 3 visible black buildings, you can park your vehicle outside the cabin. The open space protected by the Lengas forest in which we are located offers us the possibility of inhabiting the interior of each of the cabins on the plot with total privacy. Not only will you be able to inhabit the facilities, but you will also be able to explore a little further and tour the nearby surroundings; enjoy the stream and all the flora and fauna that surrounds us. Other things to note 🍲We recommend bringing enough food to prepare (or whatever you need) so you don't leave the cabin and just enjoy! Pto Bertrand has only 2 family stores. If you have food restrictions or are looking for specific products, you can find local supermarkets and more variety in Pto Ttanquilo or Cochrane (in addition to Pharmacy and Bank in the latter). 📲We invite those who visit us to rest and disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle. In that sense our geographic location contributes to that purpose as there is no cell phone coverage. However, we understand the different contexts of life, so we have Starlink in our facilities. Sometimes the amplification may not reach all corners of the cabin with full power, but you can always approach Reception to have your meetings or get a better signal if you need it.
