A perfect place to experience the local community with an ex-pate host that has lived on the island for 25 years The space The house is located on the Moule a Chique Peninsula: the southernmost tip of St Lucia. The house offers views of the Caribbean Sea and the fishing port of Vieux Fort, with Gros Piton visible in the distance. There are steps leading up to the house and this room has 5 steps leading up to it. There is a large bathroom with a shower and cupboards and a wardrobe A huge fully equipped shared eat-in kitchen and separate dining room. 2 separate seating areas in the living room. There is a picnic table outside and 2 park benches for relaxing to watch the views there are sunbathing lounge chairs as well. Guests without a car can utilize the local buses that are in town or use a taxi or private driver service. It is a 15-minute walk downhill to town Your hostess, Lorraine, is originally from the US but has been in St Lucia for more than 25 years. She lives on the property with her friendly pets. She is available to arrange car rental, taxi service, tours, meal deliveries, and any information about the island required. Guest access This guest room has steps also, there is a comfy sofa and attached lounge chair in the room as well as a large bathroom with shower. There is a shared full size kitchen as well as spacious living room and dining room. Outside garden area with a picnic table and 2 comfortable park benches and a barbeque grill. During your stay The host greets the guests upon arrival and gives a short tour of the house and property. The host lives in the house separate from guest rooms and interacts with guests only as needed. Also, the host organizes airport pick up and drop offs, hiking and driving tours, meals and any other arrangement necessary for guest to enjoy their stay. Transportation, tours and meals are not included in the price. Other things to note A car is recommended however, drop off and pickup service is offered once in the morning and once in the afternoon for $2 US each way. Local buses to other part of the island are a 15 minute walk to town. Hot water is available in the showers only. There are 2 older rescued dogs living on the property with the Hostess. In addition there are neighborhood cats that roam through daily looking for treats.
