Villa Tropical’s Non-Oceanfront One Bedroom Unit, called "1B" is a fully equipped one bedroom apartment above the general managers office on the back of the house. 1B does not have an ocean view from inside the unit. It does have full use of the shared oceanfront deck including the stainless grill and deck furniture, beach access and shower. It features a bright updated kitchen, island seating, AC, Direct TV, Free WIFI, and close laundry. Villa Tropical has a generator, gift store & rentals. The space Villa Tropical (EST 1990) was the original ‘shack’ on Shacks Beach and is now a beautiful oceanfront home with 6 apartments - 4 oceanfronting and 2 non-oceanfront. Managed by a Canadian family who lives on-site and is available to help you plan your stay and your nearby adventures. Villa Tropical is located in the NW corner of Puerto Rico. 2 hours from San Juan airport and 10 minutes from BQN airport. The NW of PR is known for it’s beaches, for the surf or winds for kiteboarding but also for the scuba and snorkeling - when calm - the Blue Hole beckons visitors above and below the surface. We are also accustomed to business travellers and have reliable free WIFI. 1B is above the office at the back (parking lot side) of the house. The coin operated laundry is just outside the landing of 1B entrance which is a dozen steps up from the parking lot. The unit is bright and functional. Spacious for two and doable for three (a 3rd individual can be added for an additional $20/night). There is a double and twin bed in the bedroom and AC in both the bedroom and the living area. Island seating in the kitchen and large flat screen Direct TV + Wifi. Store and vending machine just down the stairs and of course, your front yard is the full oceanfront deck and barbecuing area. You are free to dine in or out and use the private beach access stairs and showering area. Need anything, just inquire at the office/store 9-6 daily. Guest access As a Guest at Villa Tropical, you will have one free designated parking spot. Your apartment entrance is on the oceanfront deck. The front steps of your apartment leads to a semi-private deck and picnicking area attached to a larger deck that tiers down to the beach. There is a stainless barbecue for your use and ample comfortable deck chairs. The beach is a wonderland. You can walk for 2+ miles each way and not see a soul. On windy days the athletes in the water dazzle and amaze. On calm days, people gather in the ‘swimming hole’ direclty in front of Villa Tropical as the Coral Reef provides a protected area. Manatee and turtles frequent this location in their seasons. Other things to note This is a non ocean fronting one bedroom apartment in a home with a total of six apartment units. Fronting to the Atlantic Ocean are FS (Front Studio) is adjacent to BL (Bottom Left) and TR and TL are upstairs. Non oceanfronting include BS - studio and 1B non oceanfront one bedroom.
