This is our comfortable family home with large garden in the village of Hackthorpe on the edge of the Lake District National Park, four miles from Penrith. A great base for exploring Ullswater, Haweswater, Lowther Castle and the Eden Valley and with easy access into Keswick and the central lakes, south to Kendal or east to the Pennines. Fantastic for families, walkers, climbers, mountain bikers, paddlers or for those just needing a quiet place to relax. The space The house has two reception rooms downstairs, both with wood burning stoves and one with smart TV. The fully-equipped kitchen includes fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A utility room has the washing machine, clothes airer and WC. Upstairs are two large double bedrooms, a children’s room with bunk beds and family bathroom (great view of the Pennines!), with bath and separate shower. Outside to the rear is parking for up to three cars, plus a large enclosed garden. A small front garden opens on to the street. The local pub is just across the road if you don’t fancy cooking. There are lots of toys and board games for all ages, plus books/maps and local guide books. Wi-fi included. Guest access Whole house.
