Total peace & family fun perfect for celebrations. Lots of room for kids, dogs & friend groups. Table football, ping pong, board games. In the summer films on the projector after dark in the sunroom. In the winter hunker down with wood-burners and atmospheric candlelit dinners in the dining room. Lots of walks from the front door. Smart Netflix TV. Bat-watching and star-gazing at night by the firepit. Gas BBQ. Pizza oven. Spacious farmhouse kitchen in a lovely old house in the country. The space The house was built in 1580 the time of William Shakespeare, so the property is steeped in history. Expect quirky art, quarry tiled & wooden floors, rugs, warm tones, “Kantha” throws. There’s a huge garden, of which the large inner section is dog & child proofed. On-site parking for multiple vehicles. This is an old house in the countryside. If you're looking for a slick hotel keep looking, but if you want low beams, wonky floors, games and a pub up the lane you've found the right place. This is a truly atmospheric home where you can relax, connect with nature and have quality time together. Also available next door is our converted 1 bed barn The Old Cow Shed which is all on ground floor level airbnb.com/h/theoldcowshedattownfarm Guest access You can access all areas. Other things to note The farmhouse shares a drive with two properties including our converted barn “The Old Cow Shed” in Thorndon, Suffolk which is on one level and also available to rent separately on Airbnb airbnb.com/h/theoldcowshedattownfarm. We will be in the third property if we’re around. There are marks we can't shift on the sun room sofa & chaise longue in the dining room. They're clean but marked. We keep them because we love the colours. There is one family bathroom (with bath & shower) and a downstairs loo.
