Perched on a quiet hillside with expansive jungle and ocean views, Hacienda Alegria is perfect for large families, several couples, or even a small yoga retreat. This authentic, classic, mexican-style estate has bedrooms on 3+floors allowing couples privacy yet in an intimate villa-like environment--secluded, yet only a 8-10 minute short walk to the town square. The large pool is one of the few heated pools in town. Fast, dependable Starlink internet is ideal for remote working. The space Hacienda Alegria is a multi-level estate built with classic mexican architecture in the unspoiled coastal town of La Manzanilla, and only 8-10 minutes walk from one of the most beautiful beaches and healthiest bays on the Mexican Pacific. "La Manz" is like Sayulita was 20 years ago, before it became over-touristed: a small, safe and friendly laid-back mexican beach town, discovered by only a handful of fortunate gringos. You will have the entire property to yourself, with 3 separate living sections under one roof, each with it's own private access and is unique in that it offers its guest the villa-style living, where large families or several couples can respect each other's privacy, yet come together at any time for entertainment: El Piso Principal ("main floor): Once inside the grounds, one first encounters the entrance to el piso principal. In this section there is a fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove/oven, refrigerator, Nespresso Pixie coffee machine, electric milk frother, microwave, and all utensils needed to prepare essentially any meal. The master king bedroom has air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom/shower, and it's own private terrace. The living room has a queen-sized sofa sleeper and adjoining guest bathroom with shower (which also has a washing machine within it). The dining room has a large authentic Mexican farmhouse table with direct access to a terrace with expansive views, complete with an outdoor breakfast table. A short flight of stairs below El Piso Principal is another terrace, where one finds the entrance to El Primer Piso (“first floor"). Upon entering, one is greeted by the chef’s kitchen which, like the main floor, has all the amenities one would need to entertain a large gathering: refrigerator, gas stove/oven, Nespresso Pixie coffeemaker with milk frother, toaster-oven, microwave, electric citrus juicer, blender, and more. The dining room is spacious adjoins the outdoor terrace, which also has a breakfast table. The master bedroom has a queen bed, air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with shower, as well as it’s own separate private terrace with steps leading directly to the garden and separate plunge pool. The living room features a convertible queen sofabed and there adequate space to inflate an additional queen-sized air mattress (that is available) to accommodate two additional guests if needed. Off the hallway is an additional full guest bathroom with shower. Down the hallway is the laundry room with washer. Just down the terrace stairs is the La Pequeña Suite del Jardin (“ The little garden suite”). This is a perfect accommodation for children or extra guests and features a single bed, a fold-up rollaway bed, as well as an additional single cot. It has its own full bathroom with shower, air conditioning, and windows overlooking the garden. Back at the hacienda entrance, one only has to take a short flight of stairs to reach the gate to the El Ultimo Piso (“ the top floor”): The spacious and airy rooftop floor is equipped with two bedrooms. The master has a king-sized bed with an en-suite bathroom and shower and has two large traditional doors that open to the terrace with ocean, town, and jungle views. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, air conditioning, with large windows overlooking the jungle. There is a separate outdoor shower and bathroom just outside. The covered, outdoor kitchen has is fully equipped with a refridgerator, gas stove/oven, electric citrus juicer, coffee maker and grinder, and toaster oven. There is a built-in brick gas fireplace for an authentic barbecue. The terrace is expansive, with gorgeous views of Tenacatita Bay and the surrounding hills of the jungle and is a perfect spot for groups to gather for yoga, socializing, and watching the sunset. La Sección de la Piscina ( “The Pool Section”): This area encompasses one entire house lot in size, and has an 8m-long infinity pool, suitable for swimming laps. It is one of the few heated pools in town, thus allowing for year-round enjoyment. There poolside kitchenette has large refrigerator, blender, sink, propane BBQ, and cabinets containing glasses, silverware, and plates to entertain. Catch an afternoon siesta on the large hammock suspended beneath a wood trellis. Rinse off under yet another outdoor shower and another bathroom is conveniently located steps from the pool. A thatched palapa housing a large round table and traditional chairs has it’s own fresh water dispenser and makes an ideal spot for a meal with an unforgettable view. As you will be renting the entire estate, you will have the pool and surrounding pool area all to yourself! Guest access The guests will have access to the entire estate, with exception of the garage and several locked closets and cabinets which house the owner's amenities. Other things to note 1. One-night stays available only if arriving within 7 days of booking 2. Although there is a drip coffeemaker in the 3rd floor kitchen, the 1st and 2nd floor kitchens have Nespresso Pixie machines. Although each has several pods available, guests are encouraged to buy capsules beforehand as none are available in the small grocery stores of La Manzanilla.
