Ideal Remote Working Vacation Loft near Banff

A loft with an atypical modern twist in the heart of Canmore, a mountain town just outside of Banff. A perfect place for couples to relax, explore the townsite or base their mountain adventures in the surrounding national and provincial parks of Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, and Kananaskis. In the lofted upstairs is an office space for two, equipped with Herman Miller chairs and high-speed internet. The space Located in the heart of Canmore within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, groceries, banks, and extensive trails, the unit provides a perfect base for exploring the Canadian Rockies. A top-floor unit with soaring ceilings and plenty of window light decorated with a mixture of modern and vintage finds makes for a unique space in a mountain town. Your stay comes with one underground heated parking space (particularly handy in the summer months when street parking is a pain), two rooftop hot tubs with views down the Bow Valley (open 8am-9pm), and a small gym. The private bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed with an adjoining full washroom with a bath, shower and sinks with soaps, shampoo, and conditioner for your use during your stay. In the main living space is a queen size sofa bed. Please note however that it is in the common space and does not have black-out curtains similar to the master bedroom. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave fridge, and freezer. You're welcome to help yourself during your stay to my extensive tea selection and for the coffee enthusiasts a French Press with locally roasted beans. Whether your trip consists of being out all day or you would prefer quiet days, the space accommodates whatever you wish. Upstairs are two desks with Herman Miller chairs, and a large library and collection of antique store finds. Downstairs you can curl up by the gas fire, watch the sunset on Grotto Mountain, put a record on, sit outside on the patio, play crokinole (a traditional Canadian board game with similarities to shuffleboard and curling) or watch some television. Guest access You will be provided with a code that allows you access to the building, parkade, and elevator. An additional code will be given that provides access to the unit. A key fob is used to access the gym and hot tubs. Other things to note The unit is ideal for individual couples. The bedroom has heavy blinds and privacy meanwhile the queen sofa bed, although comfortable, is in the main living space directly by large windows - meaning any light-sensitive individuals may be subject to a mandatory 5:30am wakeup in the summer. To best enjoy the space if the sofa bed is being used I would recommend making it each morning otherwise the living space can become cluttered. Please note, there is an open concept bathroom adjacent to the upstairs office space. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. Does everything in it work? Yes. Should you use it? Completely up to you. The unit is listed as a one bedroom, one bathroom since the design choice of the builder was questionable. During those particularly hot summer days (around the 30C/85F) the unit can, unfortunately, get a bit stuffy. A fan is provided and I would encourage you to open the windows to allow for increased airflow.
