L'Escale du Château – Cozy loft

Located in the peaceful town of Étangs (57530), about twenty minutes east of Metz, you will stop in a pretty loft located at the foot of the dungeon of a medieval fortress built at the beginning of the 15th century (listed in the inventory of historical monuments since 2004). Renovated, furnished and decorated with love, this unusual place will offer you an unforgettable interlude mixing authenticity, comfort and quality services. The space The entrance to the accommodation is a charming living space of about 50 m2 composed of: - A fully equipped kitchen (fridge, induction cooktops, electric oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine + capsules, teapot + assortment of Dammann teas, toaster, cooking utensils, dishes…); - A cozy living room (large country armchairs, throws, cast iron ethanol stove, electric radiator, mini bar, 4k TV connected with the possibility to connect to your Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube accounts… + the Orange TV box, sound bar, Wi-Fi connection…); - Access to the courtyard adjoining the keep, transformed into a beautiful green terrace of about 45 m2, a real secret garden, totally private and not overlooked (garden furniture, wrought iron table and chairs, Weber barbecue and accessories, etc.). You will access the upper floor by a magnificent wrought iron spiral staircase. The floor is in the form of an open mezzanine of about 20 m2, composed of: - A comfortable sleeping area (180 x 200 king size double bed, premium Hotel & Lodge mattress, several pillows, quality linens, etc.); - An intimate bathroom (walk-in shower, electric towel dryer, toiletries, towels, bath products, hair dryer, straightener, etc.); - A water point and closed toilet (toilet paper, soaps...); - A reading/cocooning area, fitted into the embrasure of the wall. The castle park, shared with the entire condominium, is also accessible. You can stroll around and check out the other buildings of the medieval fortress. However, we kindly ask you to remain discreet and respect the privacy of the other occupants of the premises. Please note, the accommodation is close to a busy road and noise is possible when you are on the private terrace or if you sleep with the windows open. Guest access L'Escale du Château is about 20 minutes from Metz, 50 minutes from Nancy, 55 minutes from Luxembourg and 1 hour 20 minutes from Strasbourg. The accommodation is indicated at 2, Rue de la Vignotte 57530 Les Étangs, but access is via Rue du Château (D954), at the foot of the keep. A sign indicating "L'Escale du Château" is fixed above the entrance (an access plan will be communicated to you). It is possible to park two vehicles directly in front of the entrance to the accommodation for free (private parking, the spaces are reserved for you). Other things to note Practical information Check-in is between 5pm and 11pm and checkout is before 11am. A brief inventory will be carried out upon your arrival and before your departure. For check-in or checkout outside these time slots, please let us know in advance, we will do our best to accommodate you in the best conditions. In case of unspecified late checkout and without our agreement, you will be charged an additional €50. Third-party bookings will be canceled. Please enter the exact number of guests when you request to book, so that we can offer you tailored services and make your stay more enjoyable. We also kindly ask that you take out your garbage before you leave. A garbage can is at your disposal in front of the accommodation near the car parking area. We would appreciate it if you could clean and put away the dishes used during your stay, as well as collect the used bath towels in the shower. Add-ons Several services are also available upon request: - Provision of a washer and dryer; - Provision of additional chairs if needed. The accommodation is ideal for a couple, but it is possible to accommodate two additional people for the day/evening thanks to the terrace and the loft kitchen area. - Provision of a baby crib and mattress. Important Notes · Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the accommodation. You can, however, smoke on the terrace, making sure to keep the access door to the accommodation closed to avoid cigarette odors inside the property. An ashtray will be at your disposal. · No parties or events allowed. · The accommodation has a spiral staircase to access the night area, so it is unfortunately not suitable for people with limited mobility.
