Located on a corner in an upscale neighborhood, our detached, sunny, beautifully decorated cottage offers a huge private yard & parking. Meaning "The Jewel" in Spanish, La Jolla's roots are as an artist colony and surf spot. Our happy cottage evokes these simpler times. There is nothing too precious here: If comfort, simplicity, and relaxation are your goals, our cottage is for you. Walkable to all the village offers! The space Guests love the home's combination of vintage charm and modern comfort, tasteful decoration, big backyard and ease of getting around on foot. " This is a small home, so the configuration of your party matters. The home is best for up to 5 people. For families with children, this means 2-3 adults plus 1-3 children of any age (including infants) or up to 4 adults maximum with no children. Please do not try and book the home if there are more than 4 adults or 4 adults plus children in your party (including infants). Note that the per-person charge applies to any party of over 4 persons of any age, including infants. The home is fully stocked with gear for you to use during your vacation, including: linens, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, cooking and BBQ equipment. We have one smart TV in the living room for streaming. There are many delightful books in our carefully curated library as well as games and puzzles to challenge your mind. There’s even an antique art easel for drawing or painting which we hope you’ll enjoy! Guest access You'll have the house and yard to yourselves. The garage is off-limits but not to worry: There's off-street parking in the driveway for up to 2 cars. Other things to note We strive to be a 5-star experience! If you have questions or concerns during your stay, we are responsive hosts ready to assist. The house is true to the period and is clean and inviting in every way. Note that typical of an historic home, it does not have a dishwasher or garbage disposal and but one small-ish smart TV. Please consider this when making your decision. This cottage is very special to our family and we take security seriously.
