Relax with the whole family in this peaceful Gastonian neighborhood. We are very close to Schiele Museum and Greenway, Lake Wylie, the NASCAR museum and Carowinds are also just a short trip away. Due to our son's allergy to pets, we can’t accept pets. But we have kennels for service dogs only in our backyard. Sorry about this! By the way, all the water in the house is filtered, purified, and softened, so feel free to drink water from any tap--including the shower! Come, relax, and enjoy! The guest room is up the stairs from the front door on the main floor and to the left down the hall. It is the second room right next to the guest bathroom. We usually leave the key to the room in the lock for our guest's convenience. The living room with the TV, the kitchen, and the outdoor common areas are all welcome for our guest's use. There is a water purifying and softening system throughout the house, so every tap is safe to drink or wash from. The only spaces not open to our guests are the garage and the basement-level rooms where our family resides. While the check-in time is not until 3 PM to allow time for the room to be cleaned, guests are allowed to come early and make themselves comfortable until it is ready to be occupied. This listing is in our home, so expect the occasional interaction with our family. Don’t worry, we are very welcoming and we try to remain unobtrusive. Please be aware that our house is home to two young children and that during the day when they are home, there is sometimes some noise from them that is common to babies and young boys. So if you are a light afternoon napper, this might not be the place for you. Normal activity can be expected from 9 AM to 9 PM. Check-in time begins at 2:00 PM and check-out time is at 12:00 PM. For our guests' comfort and safety, we change the sheets and the door code after every guest has checked out. If you want to use the kitchen or the laundry, you are free to use our facilities, but please bring your own food and ingredients as well as your own laundry soap. For guests who book us for a month's stay, my wife always offers to cook them an authentic Chinese meal of their choice, so long as she is able to cook it. If you would like to take a quiet stroll, we have a beautiful green way just a few minutes walk from the house.
