Welcome to the Grey Cat, an island condo with a classic vibe. Our hope is for all our guests to enjoy a more authentic island experience. The Grey Cat is not only a unit we rent, but also one of our families year long vacation home. Inside you will find all the love and care that comes with staying at a family's home. All the things that we enjoy are represented within the space, and we hope you will find something that truly allows you to explore the full potential of SPI. The space The Grey Cat is a third story walk-up apartment centrally located across from the entertainment district. With balcony views of the bay, and the islands nightly fireworks show, we think the location cannot get any better. Generously appointed, and scrumptiously furnished to ensure you have everything needed during your next island adventure. THE BUILDING: Fiesta Sol is a multi-unit condo building with on site pool area and parking. Located a short 5 minute walk from the nearest beach access, or from the islands downtown entertainment district. The Grey Cat is on the third story of the building, and has a private balcony on the back. The building has pool area accessible accessible to all our guests. We provide pool and beach toys for our guests to ensure you make the most of these amenities. There is on site parking at the building, and although there are no assigned spaces we have rarely encountered any issues getting a spot. Each unit may use one space at a time, that will fit two mid-size cars parked in tandem. THE APARTMENT UNIT: The Grey Cat is a spacious two bedroom two bath third story walk up. Please note anything you bring will need to be carried up three flights of stairs so plan accordingly. The building has no elevator, we are very sorry if this prevents you from renting. Master bedroom with private bath and closet. Has a queen bed and sleeps two guests. The master bathroom has a shower/tub combo and also holds the rooms closet. We also provide basic toiletries, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The Master bedroom has a 44" 4K TV with cable, an Apple TV streaming box, and a Blu-Ray player. Access to the apartments balcony if though bay doors in this room. Second bedroom with closet and two twin beds. This room also sleeps two guests. The second bedroom has a 42"" HDTV also with cable, an Apple TV streaming box, and a Blu-Ray player. The room also has an assortment board games for our guests to enjoy during their stay. Second bathroom has a shower, and we provide basic toiletries and a scale. Living room area with sofa and lounge chair. The media center has a 55" 4K TV with 5.1 surround sound, cable, an Apple TV streaming box, Blu-Ray player, DVD and VHS player. Dining room area with table for four and all dinnerware necessary for your stay. Kitchen with all major appliances. This includes range/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, and most standard small appliances. We also have a good assortment of cooking utensils, should you wish to put your culinary skills to use. Next to the kitchen is an office/utility area, with an under counter washer/dryer and a cleaning supply storage cabinet. Also in this area is a home work space with all basic home office items, as well as an all-in-one printer and working electric typewriter. The rear balcony offers views of the bay, and the islands nightly fireworks show. It also has a table for two and some lounge chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Note that the Grey Cat is not a full time rental property, meaning we actually use it as our vacation home. At any given time we spend a few days every week on site. Because of this you will find personal items in the unit. We do not lock anything in the unit, and you are free to use any item on site, unless otherwise noted, just be mindful with how much you take. For those who like it cold, the unit has central AC and heating (in case you visit us in the winter), with no set restrictions, that means you can make it has cold or hot as you like. Guest access The Grey Cat is fully furnished with everything you might need during your island adventures: MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT: For those whose ideal vacation is a long night of streaming your favorite shows, or watching movies with the family. The Grey Cat has you covered for all your entertainment needs: The Living Room media center has a 55" 4K TV with a 5.1 surround sound system. Media options include cable, an Apple TV streaming box, Blu-Ray, DVD, and VHS player. The Master Bedroom has a 44" 4K TV with cable, an Apple TV streaming box, and a Blu-Ray player. The Second bedroom has a 42" HD TV also with cable, an Apple TV streaming box, and a Blu-Ray player. All of the apartments Apple TV streaming boxes have the following services enabled: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon PrimeVideo, HBO Max, Disney+, Paramount+, Peacock Premium, ESPN+ Crunchyroll, The Criterion Chanel, Apple TV+, YouTube Premium, MotorTrend+, and Pokemon TV. We also have a small assortment of DVDs that you can use in the Living Room media center. You will find strong Wi-Fi thought the Grey Cat as we provide internet access though an AC dual band mesh network to ensure you always have access to the world wide world when you need it. Internet speeds vary, but in general the apartment gets a consistent 100-200mb/s connection over Wi-Fi. REAL LIFE ENTERTAINMENT Some people don't want to be glued to a screen all day. But they also don't want to spend all their time in the sun. Sometimes, you just want to chill inside and do something fun with the family. We provide a small assortment of board games and traditional toys, perfect for those rainy days or when you feel like having a game night. In home library collection. Want to read a book, but don't want carry a ton of weight. The Grey as an ample collection of books in every room. From classic literature and non-fiction (actually plenty of non-fiction), to children books and pulp, we hope you enjoy reading as much as we do. FOR WHEN YOU COOK: Just because you are on vacation doesn't mean you can't flex your culinary skills. When inspiration strikes, or you are simply really hungry, the following things will make your life simpler: Full kitchen, dinner, and drink ware. From plates to pots, and glasses to utensils, we have what you need to cook-in, or at least set the table for take-out. Drip coffee maker and a Nespresso machine so you can enjoy your java however you want. For breakfast we have a toaster, or if you wish for something sweeter, we also have a waffle maker. For lunch we have a Grill/Panini Press, to make perfect grilled cheese sandwiches and a blender to make an accompanying drink. And if you want to spice up your nights we have an electric fondue pot for all the cheesy goodness you might need. You will also find local recommendations of where to eat inside the apartment, as well as a generally well stocked pantry. And if you still need more, the islands local supermarket is a short 3 block walk away, and you will find bay-front restaurants right across the street. OTHER THINGS: Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, but sometimes we need to do some of life's more menial things. For these moments we can help you the following way: Washer/Dryer in unit with some laundry supplies to boot. After all why does it seem we use twice the clothe when we are at the beach. Iron and ironing board. If you need that wrinkle free look we've got you covered. Home work area with office supplies and computer accessories. Plenty of cleaning supplies. One never knows when disaster will strike. Plus a home tool set and first aid kit. Just in case, after all better safe than sorry. Other things to note During your stay please keep in mind the following house rules: - If a drawer has a green sticker feel free to place your stuff inside. - If a drawer has an orange sticker, feel free to use the items inside. - If a drawer has a red sticker, please don't use it, or anything inside it. - Please be mindful of neighbors during the night and when using the pool. - Only use one parking space at a time, and only park two cars in the space at a time. - If possible take out the trash before you leave.
