You’ll have 650’ of waterfront to yourself to lounge at the waterside tiki-bar deck, on the screened-in porch, on the house deck, in the yard or on the hammock. Kayak, canoe, chill however you like! The space The River House is a waterfront family vacation home, and a new addition to Airbnb (September 2022), featuring amenities for all seasons. A private panoramic expanse of water is right out front, supporting abundant wildlife including bald eagles, herons, and many other creatures of nature. Choose to lounge at the waterside tiki-bar deck, on the screened-in porch, on the house deck, or in the yard in the hammock. You have direct water access and can head across the bay to the Newtowne Neck State Park beaches or tidal pond. Grill dinner out on the deck, or head over to the chaise lounges and director-style chairs for adult drinks on the waterside tiki bar -- or wade in the sand at the water's edge. This is an excellent area to find sea glass, arrowheads, pottery, shark teeth, and other beach treasures. There is a small historic log cabin on the property where Ruth hosts transformational sound baths (inquire) and it’s a fun photo backdrop. The sun sets directly across the bay providing exceptional views! High speed fiber optic wifi for excellent connectivity, paired with Eero extenders allow house and yard coverage. Ideal for working, streaming, and remaining connected. Inside the house is a large open floor plan, perfect for family time. The newly completed gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and serving family meals. Whether you sit at the dining table, or breakfast bar, the water views are showcased through all the windows in the house. There are plenty of lounging options (couches, day bed, chairs) in the living room. Bedrooms have ceiling fans for cooling off after the beach, and bedside tables and lamps for evening reading. House offers 3 TV's with Amazon fire sticks. At the end of the day, retire to any of the three bedrooms and use any of the three full baths. In any season but winter, use of the outdoor shower is a treat! The large master suite is great for relaxing and has amazing water views right outside the French doors. Be sure to watch for deer in the yard in the morning -- spotted fawn in the spring. The master bedroom also offers a wonderful lounge spot with a faux fireplace for added ambiance. Guest access Guests have full use of the house, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and the laundry closet. Guests can access the shed for extra outdoor supplies, ***Please return after use. Guests have access to the waterside Tiki Dock/platorm and beach, and fifty feet of pier. Guests have use of a canoe and double-seated kayak and two single kayaks. There are floats and squirt guns and life jackets for safety. ***Guests do not have access to the garage, attic, and 2 storage closets. Please don’t enter or disturb the historic building on the property and no access to the party bus located on the property.*** Other things to note There are 650’ of waterfront associated with this property, offering direct water access at a small beach. The beach is right next to a lighted waterside tiki bar — a great place to relax and chill, enjoy the views, or launch water toys. Look for sharks teeth, arrow heads and colonial pottery. I have found a spearhead and an arrowhead right there! Throughout the fall, eagles, green heron, blue heron and belted kingfishers ply the shoreline. I love this time of year!
