Located in one of the most charming neighborhoods in town, our home is conveniently located near all of our local attractions while still maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. This home was built in 1924 and we have strived to maintain its character (and quirks!) while making modern updates. As long-time residents, we have plenty of local recommendations. Whether you’re here for travel or work, we hope to welcome you to our lovely home! We want you to feel right at home as our guests, so feel free to cozy up with a blanket on the couch with a book or film! Help yourself to any of the books on the shelves during your stay. We have a working record player, as well. The smart TV comes with every streaming service you could want, though my personal preference is the crackling fire screensaver since our actual fireplace is just for show. The kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked. Please help yourselves to any dishes, cookware, or cooking/baking supplies you need during your stay. The home is split between 4 levels, with the first bedroom and bathroom on the upper level above the living area. There is a king-size mattress and small closet. We plan to renovate the bathrooms next, unless mint tiles decide to make a comeback! The bathroom has a tub and plenty of storage. The second bedroom on this level is our daughter’s room and is serving as storage while we host, so it will remain locked. The second bedroom is located in the basement, just off the kitchen and down two sets of stairs. The previous owners converted a garage into this basement living space and added the rooms. The room has a queen bed, closet space, a TV equipped with Roku, and a desk/work space. The second bathroom is still in the basement, but up the stairs in the hallway. It is equipped with a shower. Further down the hall you will find the laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer for your use. There are two additional basement bedrooms, one of which is our son’s room and will not be accessible to guests. If you have a larger group or require a third room, there is an additional room with a twin bed, and optional queen air mattress. The basement includes a separate entrance right off the driveway. The home has 3 entry points; the front door, a side door off the deck that connects to the backyard, and a basement door off of the driveway. You can park anywhere in the driveway or in front of the garage. At this time the garage is not available for guest use. The backyard has a table and umbrella for eating. Our favorite part of this location is that we are right in front of a lovely park, which is perfect if you are traveling with children or enjoy taking an evening stroll. Our daughter’s room on the top level will be locked and will serve as storage during our time hosting. Our son’s room in the basement will also be reserved for our use. The garage is separate and at this time will be inaccessible to guests. We will be available at anytime if you have any questions, or should any issues arise. We are staying only a mile away! Our neighborhood is full of wonderful, friendly families! We are within walking distance of a golf course, tennis courts, grocery store, gas station, and taco stand (most important!) We are only a few miles from downtown and the highway. There is plenty of parking along our driveway and in front of our garage. If you prefer you may park on the street in front of or behind the property.
