The space This cozy family-friendly 1955 home is located on one of the most desirable streets close to old town St Augustine, steps away from the Fountain of Youth and the Old Towne Trolley. Guests can feed the free-roaming peacocks that cruise through the neighborhood (we offer peanuts in a retro 5c machine!) The house is located in a quiet residential area surrounded by magnificent live oaks, close to all of the action, but far enough from the hustle and bustle to feel serene and provide a relaxing atmosphere at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Step onto the front porch and into the front door, using our easy self-check-in process and keypad entry and you will be greeted by a spacious and comfortable living area with flatscreen streaming smart-TV and a large window looking out into the tree-filled neighborhood. There is also a desk for "work-from-home" trips! A full-sized formal dining room off of the kitchen and front living area seats 8 guests (a child's booster seat and high chair are available if you are dining with kiddos!). The sweet retro (but fully updated for modern convenience!) kitchen features a fridge with a water dispenser and ice maker, a pantry for longer stays, an eat-in bar table and stools, and basic cooking utensils and pots and pans for family dinners. A dishwasher and microwave allow for convenient meals and quick clean-ups. A Keurig coffee maker with condiments and pods is also provided! Step down in the den, where you will be charmed by another cozy living area with a comfortable couch and flat-screen streaming smart TV. Off to the side is our laundry room, available for guest use, and super-stocked supply room where you will find 8 bikes (2 are kids bikes) and locks, beach equipment (umbrella, beach chairs, a wagon, beach toys, mats, and towels, water vests, and a boogie board)! Traveling with kids? Move on to the back of the house where you will find the coolest playroom ever, packed to the brim with fun family games, toys, Lincoln logs, legos, and more! There is sure to be something to entertain kids of any age. The nearby hall closet has a pack n' play, a baby bouncer/activity center, and a stroller. The hall bathroom has been newly and lovingly renovated to restore its vintage charm, with a beautifully tiled modern shower and tub and has plenty of cabinets to keep toiletries, and a quaint queen bedroom across from the hall bath (bedroom 1) features a mural inspired by the neighborhood trees and a flat-screen streaming smart TV. The second bedroom, with another queen-sized bed and a bunk bed (full-sized on the bottom and a twin up top), is perfect for rooming in with kids and also has a flat-screen streaming smart TV and a large closet for storing luggage. The primary bedroom, in the back of the home, is super spacious and features a king-sized bed and a quaint lounge area with a comfy armchair for reading and relaxation. A spacious closet and a flat-screen streaming smart TV allow for all of the comforts of home. There is a beautifully-tiled walk-in shower in the small ensuite bathroom. Step outside to the back of the home and you will find a small sitting area with a gas grill perfect for family BBQs! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, laundry area, front porch and back driveway and grill-area. Other things to note Please note that our listing is not pet-friendly. Bikes may be used at your own risk, during daylight hours ONLY. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet. If you plan to park the bike you MUST use the provided bike locks.
