It's also a short walk to The College of William & Mary and the Williamsburg Train Station. Leave your car in our free private parking lot and enjoy the short stroll to the heart of Williamsburg. The space The Edison Room is located on the 3rd floor of the historic Armistead House (constructed circa. 1890), which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Armistead House is a boutique historic inn, offering a total of 5 bedrooms (each with a private ensuite bathroom) accommodating up to 10 guests total across all bedrooms. The Edison Room can host up to 2 guests and has a queen bed and private ensuite bathroom with shower. Other rooms include the Dickens Suite (with a queen bed and adjoining private sitting room), the Shelley Room (with a queen bed), the Nightingale Room (with a queen bed) and the Darwin Room (with a queen bed). Guest access Guests will have access to their own private room, the historic central stairwell for access to the room, the front porch and seating at the shaded side patio, as well as, during operating hours, the gorgeous historic front parlor. Other things to note Please note that the Edison Room is located on the 3rd floor, which is accessed only via the central stairwell. There is no elevator. An iron and ironing board are available upon request. The coffee maker (Keurig-style) is available in the historic parlor at all hours, but please be mindful of noise in the evening. Multiple coffee shops and restaurants are located within a short walk from Armistead House.
