100 year old house newly renovated, you get the upper two floors all to yourself, only one other unit on the bottom floor. Both units are completely sealed off with their own doors, you only share the front exterior door. Bright and Sunny with nice open view out the front and a lovely wooded backyard patio out back, hard to find for such a centrally located downtown Dartmouth spot. 2 separate bedrooms furnished with queen beds, full bathroom, large kitchen and dining room, big TV in living. The space This is a monthly rental, we prefer to rent whole months rather that parts of several. Please contact if your dates are partially into several months though, we may be able to accommodate. New additions: new fridge, newly added dishwasher, new stove fan/hood (the stove is not new, the hood is), heat pump for the main floor, for heating and A/C. Portable A/C unit upstairs for one of the bedrooms. Floor and desk fans for your use in warmer weather as well. 5min from the Bridge Terminal central bus station, 5min from the MacDonald bridge that takes you right into Halifax. Or walk 6min to Alderney Landing and grab the 15min ferry into the heart of Halifax & Halifax waterfront. Downtown Dartmouth is only a few streets away, about 7min walk to Ochterloney for the best morning coffee at 2 If By Sea (their pastries are the best), behind that is Portland St with many shops, local shops, cafes, restaurants, etc etc. Alderney Landing has a weekend farmer’s market and the best restaurant, The Wooden Monkey with harbour side patio. Joseph Zatzman Sportsplex a couple of minutes walk away, also close by Lake Banook and The Dartmouth Commons (complete with off-leash dog park and gorgeous views and lovely gardens). The space itself: you do have to be able to walk up some flights of stairs, there’s one flight of stairs up to the apartment from the entry door, and another flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Please be careful on the landing at the top of the stairs between the bedrooms as it is a bit narrow. New organic cotton sheets, comfortable mattresses, room darling curtains and big fans in each bedroom to help during the summer months. Lots of extra blankets around and 4 pillows per bed. Large fully outfitted kitchen with many things provided like coffee & tea. Full bathroom with tub. Large dining room. Living room with 55” smart TV with Roku channels and whatever streaming services you wish to log into (your own accounts). Outdoor patio with beautifully wooded space, very private. You can access the parking down some stairs from the patio, but you can’t lock it from the patio side so if you’re coming and going please use the front door and make sure the patio door is latched and locked. The patio furniture isn’t the best right now but we have to start somewhere! The owner of the house lives in the downstairs apartment (they are completely separate apartments). He is a lovely guy who will give you your space and privacy, but you're welcome to say hello! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that in Airbnb terms, 5 stars is "as expected," as in, does it match the description here and the photos? Did we, the hosts, respond to you within 30min to answer questions and address any issues you may have as best as possible? 4 stars is "failure," and anything below 4 is basically "burn the place down it is uninhabitable."
