Great neighborhood for taking walks with nature preserve hills nearby that offer beautiful hiking / biking trails, and views. Downtown is only 25 minutes away. Restaurants, grocery store and gas station are within 2 miles. Public swimming pools are plentiful in summer. The beautiful Palouse & Steptoe Butte is just south of us. Greenbluff orchards and Mt. Spokane are only 35-45 minutes away! Several lakes, including Coeur d'Alene & Liberty Lake, are within 30 - 90 minutes. The nearest trailheads with free parking are only a mile away! All surfaces and linens are sanitized with Airbnb recommended products and the apartment is thoroughly aired out between guests. We live in the main part of house and do our best to stay quiet but footsteps above may be heard at times. Although we respect guests' privacy, we also enjoy meeting them. Our guest apartment is in the back, through a covered breezeway and wooden gate. Combination lock, separate entry door, is down 1 covered flight of stairs. The yard is fully fenced. Guests are welcome to park their bikes behind the gate and out of sight from the street. We live in the main part of the house, and will be available throughout the day as needed. We can be reached by text or calls and leave it up to our guests to determine how much they wish to interact. We enjoy meeting our guests in person whenever possible. Our neighborhood has a relaxed, woodsy feel to it with old growth pine, cedar trees, and deciduous trees. You'll catch some views of the hills nearby. The homes and properties are mostly larger sized and well established. It is very safe, friendly, and has minimal car traffic, making it ideal for walks, runs, and biking. We are very close to a nature preserve. The Iller Creek trail is about a mile away offers a beautiful 5 mile loop trail with spectacular views of both the Palouse and Spokane Valley. It's great for hikes and mountain biking! See deer, turkeys, pheasants, squirrels, birds & butterflies, occasional moose and bald eagles! Friendly cats come around at times. The Dishman Hills, nearby, also has many trails. Nearest grocery store, gas station w/ice cream counter, pizza & booths, car wash, gift shop, restaurants, taco shop, day spa, brew pub BBQ and restaurant are less than 2 miles away. We're up a hill at an altitude of about 2300 feet. Short drive to restaurants, shops, mall, movies, roller skating, bowling, indoor trampolines, skateboard & volleyball park, waterslide park, play parks, downtown Spokane, Coeur D'Alene, lakes, rivers, mountains, Silverwood, Triple Play, skiing, galleries, clubs, casinos & taverns, theaters, Centennial Trail and Mt. No bathing or use of extra beds is permitted for unpaid visitors. Requests for additional overnight guests must have prior approval and payment to us at the current rate for extra guests. Absolutely NO Smoking or vaping is allowed inside! A minimum $500 fine will be charged if this rule is violated. It is permitted outside only, and with the ashtray provided. No illegal drugs or weapons are permitted on our property . Hunting is prohibited. Spokane and the valley offer lots to do in all four seasons! Restaurants, shopping, theaters, parks, museums, clubs, entertainment, etc. Please check our guide of recommendations. We also provide weekly local publications for our guests to check out what's happening. A laundromat is a few miles away. We can share our laundry room on occasion for stays over one week. If you have a laundry emergency, we can usually accommodate. Free Wifi has been recently upgraded and works great most of the time. We have an extender to help with the strength of signal. In this general area, Wifi can be weak at times. Let us know if there's an issue during your stay. We appreciate our guests being considerate of our home, trust, and neighborhood.
