The space **Newly reopened after a 7-month hiatus for updates & improvements!** Feel right at home in our clean, two-bedroom apartment located in a beautiful, tree & nature filled neighborhood in South Spokane Valley. We've upgraded the main bedroom with a luxurious Tempur-Pedic Queen-sized bed, fluffy, luxury comforter and soft, cotton sheets! Bedroom crystal chandelier is on a dimmer switch and the closet is large, with plenty of shelving & hangers. The second bedroom has two twin, pillow top beds and ample closet space. Ahhhh... Soak all your cares away in the cozy *Jetted Spa Bathtub*! Private, large bathroom also has a separate shower with great water pressure. Updated remodeling makes it extra inviting. Your private entrance, down covered stairs, leads to a full kitchen, with a cozy sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove & oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, toaster, drip coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and table for up to 4 diners. The TV works with local stations and your subscriptions. We provide board games, books and more too! A separate work or study area offers a long desk and includes outlets and Wifi access. In our yard, enjoy majestic Ponderosa pine & deciduous trees, large lawn space, and a charcoal Weber BBQ grill. The rustic fire pit may be available, depending upon conditions, local laws and times of year-- please inquire with us first! Our backyard decks are private but we have many outdoor chairs for your relaxation. Catch a glimpse of friendly deer, squirrels, wild turkeys, many birds, and our mascot kitty, "Lightning"! Great neighborhood for taking walks with nature preserve hills nearby that offer beautiful hiking trails, and views. Downtown is only 25-30 minutes away. A Restaurant with full bar, grocery store, craft tea & whiskey restaurant, coffee stand w/good breakfast items, and gas station w/car wash, ice cream & pizza are within 1 mile away. Lake Coeur d'Alene is about 45 minutes away. The nearest hiking trailheads with free parking are also only a mile away. * SPECIAL! * Treat yourself to a professional therapeutic massage with Gary (licensed 36 years), in his onsite office! As an Olympic and professional athlete massage therapist, he specializes in sports massage, deep tissue, and therapeutic massage. He also teaches massage therapy and is a national leader in his field. (Please inquire for website info, scheduling, and special guest rates). We live upstairs, in the main part of house and do our best to stay quiet, when home. Although we respect our guests' privacy, we also enjoy meeting them. If there's anything you need during your stay, we're happy to help with anything we have in our main house. Coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar are complimentary. We also provide some cooking & breakfast basics, oil, vinegar, spices, and condiments. The coffee maker is "drip" style with a programmable timer. We often get snow in winter, making our yard and neighborhood a true winter wonderland! You may see occasional moose and will definitely see our deer family that frequents our backyard. We decorate for the holidays and love this festive time of year! We look forward to welcoming you soon to our little slice of paradise! Guest access Guests can park in our driveway, off the street. To locate after dark, look for the tree in front with lights. Our guest apartment is in the back, through a covered breezeway and wooden gate. Combination lock, separate entry door, is down 1 covered flight of stairs. The yard is fully fenced. Guests are welcome to park their bikes or other toys behind the gate and out of sight from the street. We also have separate RV or utility truck parking, without hookups, for those who are just passing through. Other things to note Treat yourself to a safe, professional licensed therapeutic massage from Gary! With 36 years of experience he's a leader in his field and also a longtime instructor. He specializes in sports massage, deep tissue, and therapeutic massage. He offers a special guest rate and discount for two or more. Please check his availability in advance. His website will be shared upon request. **IMPORTANT** Please, no pets, parties or events. Occasional guests are welcome to visit respectfully between the hours of 9:00 am and 11:00 pm. No bathing or use of extra beds is permitted for unpaid visitors. Requests for additional overnight guests must have prior approval and payment to us at the current rate for extra guests. Absolutely NO Smoking or vaping is allowed inside! A minimum $500 fine will be charged if this rule is violated. It is permitted outside only, and with the ashtray provided. No illegal drugs or weapons are permitted on our property. Hunting is prohibited. Spokane and the valley offer lots to do in all four seasons! Restaurants, shopping, theaters, parks, museums, clubs, entertainment, events, etc. Please check our guide for many recommendations. We also provide weekly local publications for our guests to check out what's happening. A laundromat is a few miles away. We can share our laundry room on occasion for stays over one week. If you have a laundry emergency, we can usually accommodate. Free Wifi has been recently upgraded and works great most of the time. We have an extender to help with the strength of signal. In this general area, Wifi can be weak at times. Let us know, right away, if there's an issue during your stay. We appreciate our guests being considerate of our home, trust, and neighborhood.
