Some say smaller than a tiny house, at 8x8 ft, the Bunkhouse still has all the necessities for simple living: * Heat * DRY TOILET - uses sawdust, does not flush * mini kitchen - cold or hot water in jugs or water dispenser, mini fridge, hot plate, toaster oven, sink, basic kitchenware * elevated twin futon bed * easy chair and TV tray for a table * NO running water or SHOWER * DRY TOILET (search Loveable Loo for more detail) The space It's amazing what little space some of us actually need to be comfortable. At a cozy 8x8 feet, The Bunkhouse is a unique, cabin-like dwelling where you can see that for yourself. It's a precious little space with original art, a view into the tall trees, and all the basics for a uniquely comfortable stay in Salem. Some guests have been able to shower at their workplace and some get a very inexpensive Planet Fitness membership so they can shower and use all of the other amenities there. The nearest one is 3 miles away. ABOUT PETS I have a bonded pair of 11 year olds: a Shar Pei/Lab mix and a Corgi/Blue Healer mix. They're adorable, quirky, easy to love, and only bark when surprised. With permission, your DOGS are allowed too. NO CATS though. If you bring one: 1. It must not be left alone unless you and I agree it will not do damage or bark a lot 2. A dog bed is a available on the floor; a dog must not sleep on the bed 3. You must clean up after it in the yard Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the gardens that surround the bunkhouse. Other things to note The bunkhouse has a DRY TOILET, meaning it does not flush but uses sawdust instead. Please search Loveable Loo for more information. There is no traditional running water. Water is in jugs or the water dispenser. Hot water comes from the water dispenser or from using the electric kettle. ONLY DOGS ARE ALLOWED
