Located near the edge of Bodmin Moor, where time stands still for a little while. We are located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a stones throw from the Mining World Heritage of Minions and Caradon Hill and English Heritage sites. The space The Charatons is the perfect get away in a tranquil, rural, yet accessible location on the edge of Bodmin Moor. With windows looking out onto your private garden and patio area. Guests at The Charatons have full use of our lovely large wrap-around garden, Patio, BBQ area and large outside seating area. The Charatons underwent full refurbishment in 2022 and has been completed to an extremely high standard. This delightful property boasts its very own indoor health spa with a large swim jacuzzi, ceramic sun loungers and sauna. The bifold doors open out onto the patio and seating area, so even in inclement weather, you can fully enjoy what the spa has to offer. When you enter the property through the double doors into the light and airy lounge area, you will find comfortable leather sofas with plumped up cushions and throws, a large screen TV with freeview, Netflix and WiFi, board games and books for some light entertainment. Here you will also find a king size fully powered bed with memory-foam mattresses (which can also present as two singles for twin sleeping arrangements). Off of the main room is a modern bathroom complete with a large walk in shower. Walk on through to the snug that is furnished with memory foam small double bunk beds which can comfortably accommodate adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric 4 ring hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and coffee maker together with crockery, cutlery, and glassware, as well as all the other bits and bobs that will make your stay a home from home experience. There is also a farmhouse dining table in the kitchen that seats 4. You will have your own designated parking spot by your front door, so not far to carry your luggage. The Charatons is ideal for visitors looking for comfort and relaxation in the close proximity of Bodmin Moor. Located on the edge of Pensilva Village, which has a very well stocked shop, country pub and amazing farm shop and tea room. Toiletries, fluffy towels and spa towels are also provided so that you can pack a little lighter! For anyone who wishes to bring their horses with them, we can provide their own designated area right outside your window. We have a large rubber matted field shelter, minimal grass track (for any Metabolic/lami prone equines) plus paddock grazing and a 20m sand roundpen. The Moor is a quiet ride up the lane aprox 5-10 mins (depending on your pace). Escorted hacks can be arranged, please book in advance of your stay.
