This custom cabin sits on 4.5 wooded acres in a designated dark sky area. It is completely enclosed with a fence for your furry friends. A two-person hot tub is provided on a covered front porch. Winter Wonderland Getaway Embrace the serene beauty of the West Virginia winter in our Hilltop Hideaway. This cabin offers a warm and inviting atmosphere to relax and unwind, with breathtaking views of the snowy landscape. Coupled with a fully functional hot tub and a wood stove to gather by for warmth. Winter at Hilltop Hideaway is an adventure. Even if the immediate area itself doesn’t receive heavy snowfall, the easily accessible highlands of nearby Monongahela National Forest usually have plenty of snow. Snowshoe Resort to the north is perfect for day-trips from the Hideaway and gets plenty of natural snow and man-made snow on the slopes. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are available in the Monongahela National Forest, at Snowshoe Resort and weather permitting on the Greenbrier River Trail and at Watoga State Park. Weather permitting, ice fishing and sledding are also available at Watoga State Park and snowmobiling in the Monongahela National Forest. We enjoy the peaceful beauty of wintertime here --- often we see magical ice floes coming down the Greenbrier River and listen to the rushing currents while exploring the Greenbrier River Trail. Hilltop Hideaway Winter Policy: Hilltop Hideaway is in a rural area. Please do not reserve Hilltop Hideaway in the winter without 4WD or AWD or if you are uncomfortable with winter driving. While arrangements for plowing can be made for the driveway, we cannot guarantee how quickly it will happen in the event of ongoing weather. In the event of significant winter weather, we are happy to credit your payment toward a booking within 1 year of the original one. We also recommend that all guests look into airbnb’s travel insurance..
