Cosy studio room in stunning beachside location

This room is just the thing for those wanting a quiet and comfortable getaway in probably one of the best locations in Jersey. Located on a common (great for picnics) and just a 2 minute stroll from the vast, sandy beach overlooked by the ancient Gorey Castle, this room is also within easy walking distance of some stunning restaurants. It is located on an official cycle route and on one of the Island’s best bus routes. Gorey Village is just around the corner with all its facilities. The space It’s a largish ground floor room in a single storey annex with its own entrance. It has a new super-kingsize bed at one end, a ‘middle section’ with comfy sofa, TV and dining table for two and a simple kitchenette area at the other end, suitable for making light meals. Adjoining that room is a generous and airy bathroom with roof lights, a walk-in shower and separate toilet. Outside, there is patio area, enclosed by plants with some cushioned garden furniture, exclusively for use with the room and perfect for a G&T at the end of a day or for reading the morning paper with a coffee before toddling over to the beach for a swim. Guest access The main room, bathroom and outside area are for the exclusive use of guests. Other things to note This is a very comfortable room, but the stand-out feature is its location - just across the road from one of the biggest and safest beaches on the Island. At our closest entrance to the beach is ‘The Hungry Whale’, a superb cafe, with seating available. On Fridays, you can get fresh fish, lobster and crab from the fish van directly opposite. Alternatively, you can choose to walk from the house to the harbour and Castle (and a slew of great restaurants) either along the beach or through a pedestrianised gardens (that used to be a railway line). Takes about 20-25 minutes. This room is perfect for those who want to leave the car behind, perhaps have a lovely meal together in the harbour and walk back home in the moonlight, barefoot along an empty beach just listening to the waves. We are 5 minutes walk away from the amazing Bass ‘n’ Lobster Restaurant (not to be missed), the best fish n chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, a superb breakfast cafe, pharmacy, opticians, greengrocers and convenience store (Morrisons). Everything you could possibly want for a great trip to Jersey is right on your doorstep. And to go elsewhere on Island, just grab a bus from right outside the door …
