Description

A warm and welcoming family home in the remote north west of Skye. We offer a peaceful off-grid getaway and scrumptious breakfast hampers. Our furnished bell tent is equipped with a cosy wood fire, comfy beds and wonderful views. It is a great base from which to explore all the wonderful sites the Isle of Skye has to offer including Neist Point, Coral Beach and Dunvegan Castle & Gardens. Open to friends, couples, hikers and lone travellers. The space Our bell tent is designed to take you totally off grid and unwind within nature so there is no electricity or wifi available inside the tent. Limited Wifi can be accessed near the house. The eco composting bathroom is located close the tent. It is to shared with one other tent (usually two people) Other things to note: The land is rugged so good footware is advised. Those with limited mobility may have trouble accessing the tent. We do not currently accept young children due to the nature of the site. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets. We cannot allow three people to a tent. Our driveway is steep but can handle even the oldest car - just make sure to go up in 1st or 2nd gear. This is a comfy and cosy glamping tent but is still a camping experience in the middle of nature with glorious Scottish weather and amazing birdsong (we advise bringing an eye mask and some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.) It is ESSENTIAL that you have a car during your stay due to remote nature of our site. Guest access You have access to you your tent and a shared bathroom Other things to note Glendale is a wonderful group of villages in the north-west of the island. The coast of Glendale is home to a huge variety of seabirds and you can often see whales, dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks in the coastal waters. The village and surrounding areas have beautiful wildflowers - including primroses, violets, orchids and bluebells, dependent on the time of year. We have a wonderful local shop and the local Lephin Cafe serves some of the best coffee on the island and delicious lunches. From Glendale you can explore all the Skye has to offer!
