Description

Our Pod is situated over the Mangerton Valley Course fishing lake just off our working farm. Offering amazing views over the valley it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Fall asleep to the sound of the spring bubbling and wake up to fish jumping and beautiful views in one of Dorsets areas of outstanding natural beauty. The space The Pod sleeps up to four guests and features a raised king-size bed accessed by a ladder—please note this may not be suitable for everyone. Beneath the main bed is a cosy snug area that can be converted into a second sleeping space with a king-size mattress. You'll find a Smart TV and Wi-Fi in the pod, although due to our rural location, the signal can occasionally be affected by the weather. The pod is well insulated and kept warm with both a wood-burning stove and an electric heater. The compact kitchen area includes a small fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, and crockery. Outside, the private decking is built over the lake, offering a peaceful spot with seating. There’s also a fishing peg and a dedicated barbecue/fire pit area. Logs and charcoal are available to purchase on-site. A short walk from the pod is a shared wash hut with toilets, showers, and washing-up sinks. Due to the pod’s size, there are no built-in cooking facilities such as an oven. However, you're welcome to bring a camping stove—we kindly ask that you use it outside only, as there is no extractor fan indoors. We also have additional accommodation on-site, making it ideal for group bookings. Guest access If you are an angler our lake is well stocked with Carp, Roach and Tench, fishing is included with your stay. Should you wish to relax or explore we are 3 miles from the nearest beaches. You can walk straight onto the footpaths and explore the countryside. We are about 1.5 miles from the historic market town of Bridport which is well know for its antiques and vintage markets. We are also close to some fabulous restaurants, cafes and pubs. Other things to note We are on a fishing lake so ask that noise is kept to a sensible level. We have a quite policy between 10pm and 8:30am.
