Description

Want to REALLY get away from it all? Come and hideout here on our remote organic farm in Devon. Nestled at the apex of a picturesque valley, enjoy spectacular views in our comfortable Bell Tent. Absorb the natural surroundings of your own private hay meadow. The site can only be reached by walking. You can park at the farm, where we can transport you and your luggage or it’s a picturesque walk. The space Not for the faint hearted, our bell tent is only accessible by a 10 minute walk although the views are absolutely worth it! On arrival and departure we can transport you and your luggage but please be aware you will need to walk the rest of your stay unless a time is pre arranged. You can leave cars or bicycles at the farm yard. The tent is furnished with 1 standard double and 1 small double. We have a compost loo and outdoor shower. The facilities are basic but with necessary amenities for outdoor living. Guest access You will be staying on a working farm we are open to our guests and love explaining some of the innovative regenerative practices we are doing here. However, you are in a very quiet corner of the farm and won’t be disturbed. Other things to note A couple of things to note about your stay: We are on a farm and as beautiful as the weather has been lately it can be cold in the countryside at night. So bring an extra jumper! The driveway for the farm is a stone track which can be difficult for very low slung cars so if you would prefer not to drive all the way I can meet you at the entrance to the farm, walking from there to the tent is about half a mile. I can transport your luggage and drive you to and from the tent but the walk is all part of the adventure! It is mostly a stone track but there is a stream with stepping stones so if its been raining a lot wellies are advisable! The walk is worth it, you will pass a wildflower meadow and get a spectacular panorama of the farm and all the animals. It takes about 10 minutes but is not for the faint hearted. The pubs are about 45 minutes walking, as is the nearest town. Everything you need should be provided, including tea and coffee and drinking water. Except you will need to bring your own food as we are no longer supplying our BBQ Boxes. The location of the tent is very private and secluded but to some this may seem remote. Phone signal is patchy but most networks can get it if you walk up the hill a bit. Finally, this is a working farm, so please be aware there may be tractors or other vehicles working in the fields but will be well away from your campsite although due to the layout of the farm you may see or hear them in the distance. This is truly an unforgettable experience and we look forward to meeting you!
