High end sea cabins at Å in Lofoten

Description

Welcome to Lofoten! The space Our new tiny houses feature a minimalist design and are built to a high standard of quality. They were designed in Estonia by the architects behind Kodasema. All of the cabins are identical and are positioned in a row, but they are carefully arranged so they do not overlook one another. This is Cabin 1, the one located furthest away in the overview photo. The cabin consists of a single open-plan living space combining the living room, bedroom and kitchen, plus a separate bathroom. It has a split-level layout with a mezzanine loft that serves as the main bedroom. From the double bed, you can enjoy spectacular views of the sea, while an opening window offers beautiful views of the mountains behind the cabin. With nearly 4-metre-high ceilings in the living area, the cabin feels bright, spacious and airy. The bathroom is compact but practical and elegantly designed. The kitchen is fully equipped for up to four guests and includes an under-counter refrigerator, a two-zone induction cooktop, and a dishwasher. Please note that there is no oven. There is also a comfortable sofa bed in the living area if you prefer to sleep downstairs. Extra pillows and duvets for guests using the sofa bed are stored in the living room dresser. Perfect for two people, but can sleep three, if you stow away the sleeping couch at daytime. The cabins offer spectacular views of the Moskenesstraumen, the world’s strongest tidal current. Å is the southernmost village in Lofoten and one of the region’s oldest traditional fishing villages. It is the perfect base for exploring the southern part of the archipelago. Here, you’ll stay right by the sea, surrounded by Lofoten’s dramatic and unspoiled natural scenery. Please note that there is a narrow utility pole located fairly close to this cabin, which some guests may find visually distracting. For this reason, the nightly rate for Cabin 1 is lower than for the other cabins as compensation. However, we find that most guests do not consider it a significant drawback. Lofoten has a rugged, authentic character, and that includes parts of its infrastructure. Dogs are welcome in Cabin 1 only. However, they are not permitted on the mezzanine level, on the bed, or on the sofa. This cabin is not suitable for children under 12 years of age or for guests with reduced mobility, due to the steep, unprotected staircase leading to the mezzanine sleeping area. The loft does not have a safety railing, and therefore the cabin is not recommended for children under 12. Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the parking area. Other things to note * There is no oven in the cabin, only a cooktop. * The staircase leading to the upper floor is fairly steep. * Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Included services - Parking - Towels - Heating - Bed linen - Internet Access
