Other things to note LD Convento Cister – LD Hotels This new boutique accommodation owes its name to the CISTER religious order, a reformed Catholic order, which was established in Malaga in 1546. In the 1700s, eight nuns of this order lived within the walls of this unique space and decided to found the Convent of La Encarnación. The LD Hoteles chain wanted to somehow leave what in the imagination could be the reason for the life of some nuns of the time, perfectly represented in a three-dimensional painting on canvas, which can be seen in the central courtyard of the establishment. The place's original façade was meticulously restored by professionals, and is now protected by the city's urban planning laws. Inside, a sample of modern architecture integrates both styles with beautiful and avant-garde furniture that harmonize perfectly with each other. Some elements of the original building, such as window covers, front door staves, door fittings and beams, were used in the decoration to try to create an atmosphere that would at some point evoke and learn a little about the history of the building.
