Tucked away above Shelburne's Historic Waterfront District, on the second floor of one of Canada's oldest houses, George Street Suite Vacation Home is a private, well appointed and fully self contained seaside studio apartment, with beautiful views of the harbour, gardens and surrounding historic architecture. A charming vacation suite for up to two adults who enjoy privacy and modern convenience in a quaint and outstandingly picturesque setting. The space A secluded, fully self contained apartment on the second floor of one of Canada's oldest homes, built in 1785. Enjoy spacious living quarters with all the comforts of home, including a luxurious four-poster queen bed, cuddler chair, plenty of cushions and dimmable lighting, a Roku tv with complementary access to streaming services. The suite also offers a sunny dedicated workspace with handy charging station and reliable high speed wifi internet, all with beautiful views. Prepare your own gourmet meals in a cheerful, well-equipped kitchen with oven and four burner stove, full-sized refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, blender, Keurig & French press, and drip coffee makers. The kitchen table seats two for intimate dining, or dine outdoors on your exclusive and secluded second floor balcony deck with bbq grill and comfortable seating. Perfect for stargazing. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive use of the second floor apartment, including balcony deck with walk-up staircase and private entrance, personal parking space for one car on premises (left side driveway, look for Captain Ernie!). Other things to note You will be staying on the second floor of a large house. There is a long, well lit, outdoor staircase to your private deck and suite entrance. Your host lives on the main floor, along with his spouse and two indoor/outdoor cats. The cats may not enter the suite but might visit your deck to offer a greeting. Please do not feed the cats or the deer you may spot in the yard. No smoking indoors, and no cigarette smoking anywhere on the property. Cannabis is permitted outside. This is an antique, wood-framed home. No candles or flame of any kind indoors please. We clean and sanitize weekly and between guests, but we also provide essential cleaning supplies for your use if desired. The house is cooled by ocean breeze assisted by fans and portable air conditioner as needed. We are pleased to announce a new family member, Baloo the Newfoundland dog! You may see his training sessions in the back yard, which can include greeting guests, if you like puppies.
