Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located cozy 1st level apartment (5 steps to enter) 1 block to DT Wheaton. Train station is only 3blks walking distance. You'll have the entire aptmt to yourself/ private entrance. We completely renovated in June 2022. Sorry I have more to describe but limited characters allowed here. Two blocks from lovely downtown Wheaton. Plenty of restaurants and the play house theater. You'll have the entire apartment to yourself. You'll be able to enjoy your own private entrance and living space. There is a single parking space in the parking lot on the south side of the building(opposite side of your entrance). Alternatively you may call-in your car for overnight street parking directly across the street on the north side of the building/ Illinois St. (Wheaton Police will not ticket if you call and advise of short term overnight parking) Kitchen: There is full fridge (water, cubed ice, crush ice), over-range microwave, full size range/oven, dishwasher! Please, know that the counter-tops are “butcher block” but are not meant for cutting on directly. We have provided a sanitary cutting board for this purpose. General: The kitchen, bathroom, front room, and bedrooms were completely renovated in June/July 2022. We have up to 1 Gig up and download Wi-Fi shared with our family, Keypad private entrance (north side of building facing Illinois St. There is Central Air-conditioning and Gas Forced Air Heating, both controlled by your private controller. Due to the entrance stairs, this home is not handicap accessible. Please, no animal. Our family living in the adjacent unit has extreme allergies to cats and smoke. If smoking on the premises or a cat is attempted to be snuck in, we will unfortunately know due to these allergies. Please, do not attempt. A deep cleaning, including air ducts cleaning, will be charged. Master Bedroom: Queen bedroom with ceiling fan. There is an emergency exit off the bedroom. Please, know it opens up to our private backyard that is fenced in where our two dogs visit from time to time. Bathroom: An 80 gallon hot water tank services this unit, so there’s plenty of hot water. Yes, the shower and floor are fully tiled, however there isn’t a drain outside the shower. Please, make sure the shower curtain is closed when in use. :) We’ve had folks think the entire bathroom is an open shower system (it’s not). Small bedroom: This is a very small room with a bunk bed. The top mattress is a twin and the bottom mattress is a full. Living room: futon couch and coffee table. Note we have not installed a TV yet. If there are multiple requests for one, we may mount a TV on the wall in this room. For now, we have high speed internet included and have found most people prefer to stream on their own devices. Entrance: has 5-6 stairs to enter, a small enclosed porch, keyless entry, and camera for security (no cameras inside).
