Other things to note We wanted to share some important details about our place to ensure that your expectations are met and that you won't face any surprises upon your arrival. Solar Power: We strive to run on 100% solar energy. However, during cloudy days, we may need to use a generator. Occasionally, we may also conserve energy by temporarily turning off electricity for a couple of hours during the day. Please note that our power system is not equipped to handle high-wattage electronics such as hair dryers. Reduction of Single-use Plastics: We are committed to eliminating single-use plastics, and we kindly request your support in not bringing any single-use plastics to the island. Help us keep the environment clean and sustainable. Food & Drinks: Our small menu changes daily, offering delicious Asian fusion-style food prepared by our talented chef using the freshest ingredients. Each meal costs between 450 php to 700 php. Please note that during special occasions like Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, menu prices may vary between 900 PHP to 2000 PHP. We also cater to vegans upon request. To minimize plastic use, we are moving away from commercial colas and sodas. Instead, we offer refreshing options like coconut water and fresh fruit shakes such as mango, pineapple, etc. Purified drinking water is available free of charge at the camp. Please note that outside food and drinks are strictly not allowed. Island Hopping: Please be aware that we are located an hour away from El Nido town, where boats depart for diving and island hopping tours A, B, C, and D. If you wish to take an island hopping tour in El Nido, the cost for just the roundtrip private car and boat transport to and from the camp is 4000 PHP for 1-2 persons, not including the tour cost itself. We recommend scheduling island hopping tours either before or after your stay at our camp so that you can fully enjoy your time on our island. Island Life: Our camp is situated on a small, roadless island, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Take it slow, enjoy swimming, leisurely walks along the beach, or simply relax with a cocktail or a book. We aim to provide you with a slice of paradise with utmost comfort and simplicity. What to Do: Snorkeling at a shipwreck and coral reef, paddleboard rentals, cards and board games, a volleyball net, a small library, and trails for island exploration. We have free snorkeling masks and water shoes available at the camp. No WiFi: Due to our location, providing WiFi to all guests is currently not feasible. However, many of our past guests have appreciated the opportunity to disconnect and enjoy a digital detox in paradise. Cash Only: We regret to inform you that we can only accept cash payments on the island as we do not have a credit card terminal and internet connection for processing payments. You can settle your bill upon check-out. If you do not have enough cash, we can advise the driver to drop you off at an ATM shop in town to withdraw the balance. Check-in: We arrange a shared shuttle to the island daily at 9 am and 1 pm. The cost for the shared shuttle is 750 PHP per person, one-way, inclusive of car transport and boat. The pick-up point is at TownSquare located in El Nido town. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a smooth departure. The shuttle will take guests to the village of Teneguiban, which is a 45-minute drive from El Nido town. From there, a 15-minute boat ride will bring you to Dryft Camp. If your travel schedule doesn't allow you to join our shared shuttle, please let us know in advance, and we will gladly assist you in arranging private transportation to the island. The price for a private shuttle for two people is 2000 PHP, one-way. For safety reasons, we do not allow check-ins after sunset due to coast guard regulations. Check-out: Our shared shuttle departs from the island at 11 am and 4 pm daily. Some essential items to consider are insect repellent, sunscreen, toothbrush and toothpaste, water bottle, beach towel and dry bag. Cancellations: Please note that Dryft Camp is not responsible for travel delays or cancellations that may occur on your journey to El Nido, Palawan. We highly recommend securing reliable travel insurance to safeguard against any unforeseen travel disruptions during your stay at the camp.
