Description
This cottage is located in the heart of Victoria Harbour, Ontario. 1 king size bed with 4 spacious drawers underneath 1 bathroom with shower and bathtub 5-minute walk to groceries, LCBO, and waterfront trails. Victoria Harbour is a beautiful village and perfect destination for every season! Guests can plan a getaway of rest with our many relaxing nooks on the property, or an adventure to the beaches, hiking trails, waterfront festivals, skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and more. The space Harbourside Hangout is a century home, one of the town’s originals. It has all the personality that comes with age, including tilting floors and treasures in the walls like horsehair insulation from the early 1900's. It’s a creative passion-project we’re tinkering away with, and we’re excited to share the space with you. The studio is full of character and you can expect to find many upgrades with everything you will need for your getaway. The open concept offers a full kitchen, a lounge area with 55-inch Sony TV, a luxurious king size bed, a gas fireplace, and A/C. The cozy lounge is a perfect year round hang out nook. There’s lots to peruse in the wooden hutch with games, books, art supplies, and retro CDs to listen to on a 90's-style Walkman. Or grab a bowl of popcorn and indulge in some smart TV entertainment. In the warmer seasons: What makes our place extra special are the several ‘hangout’ nooks. The cheerful sunroom is fully stocked with fresh herbs and kale, help yourself! The front porch patio includes a BBQ and solar light umbrella for day and night dining. There are two quiet sitting areas just behind the house and, if you navigate the stairs to the high point of the property, you can relax in the gazebo overlooking the main street and surrounding forest. Check out nearby beaches, biking, and hiking trails; there are also numerous boat launches in the area. While you’re here we are just around the corner on our sailboat and we may come and go from the garage to get supplies. You’re welcome to connect with us for a boat and marina tour! For winter stays: Jump on the local cross-country ski / snowshoe trails, or head to one of the many downhill ski resorts in our county. There are also several ice fishing destinations in the area, including Hog Bay just two blocks away! *Note the sunroom, BBQ, firepit, gazebo, and treehouse are closed in the winter.
