Casa Orleans, close to Klamath and Salmon river
Description
The cozy and eclectic house is tucked away in peaceful Orleans, a small town set among the majestic forests and meandering rivers of Humboldt County. Centrally located in the Camp Creek neighborhood, Casa Orleans is only a mile from the crystalline waters of Camp Creek itself and a short drive to the Klamath and Salmon Rivers, as well as various hiking trails. The home is spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped; perfect for small groups or individuals in search of a rural respite. The space King beds in both rooms. New mattresses. NO AC Other things to note ATTENTION: Orleans experiences power outages at a greater frequency than other areas of California due to high-winds wildfire risk during the summer and downed trees from storms in the winter. While typically short, these outages can be of unknown length and sometimes unannounced. A big part of the area's charm is its remoteness. However, this also has drawbacks, such as no cell service and occasional power outages. Pacific Gas & Electric's website has up-to-date information on any current or planned outages. The internet is on a battery backup which lasts ~90 minutes. Please be advised that there will be no internet access during an extended outage. Additionally, the neighborhood's water system relies on a booster pump, and pressure will be significantly reduced during a power outage. The stovetop is gas, and food can still be prepared, although it must be lit with a match/lighter. These occasional power outages are beyond our control. Please find other accommodations if you REQUIRE UNINTERRUPTED POWER FOR MEDICAL DEVICES, INTERNET, LIGHTING, AND/OR WATER PRESSURE. There is no air conditioning. On the hottest days heat can be managed by keeping shutters on the south side of the house closed during the heat of the day and using ceiling fans Kind Regards
