The Little House on the Edge of the Big Woods

Welcome to the Little House on the Edge of the Big Woods. Come relax on our homestead in Northeast Michigan. This newly constructed chalet style home sits on 10 acres. Relax and view the cattle grazing in the fields or the whitetail deer foraging around. To the South is our homestead style farm which is home to our Scottish Highland cattle, mini horse, pigs, chickens, cats, and bunnies. To the North is the Huron National Forest. The city of East Tawas is only a short 4.5 mile drive as well. Guest access Guests will be able to access the whole rental house and have it to themselves. Guests do not have the whole property to themselves. Please do not go past the small line of trees at the end of the property without permission. Someone is always around, so if guests would like to visit the farm and animals they MUST contact property manager to do so. Other things to note Spring time brings mud unfortunately, so bring your boots! We also have four barn cats that are very loved and taken care of at our homestead. They love to interact with guests, and are very friendly. You are more than welcome to pet them or even cuddle them. Please do not bring them in the rental as they will urinate and or defecate wherever they please inside. The gray and orange cat with long hair is Maple. The orange cat is Dilly. The tiger stripe is Smokey. And the tiger stripe with a white chest is Sunflower. Please be mindful of this during your stay.
