Glamping Pod, Guershader, Isle of Lewis

Located in the village of Guershader, approximately 1.5 miles from Stornoway town centre, the pod is situated in front of our own home with your own private parking in front of the pod. Only 2 miles from the ferry terminal this is an ideal location if you’re travelling through the Islands and looking for a short stop-over! If you’re looking to come for a longer stay then we hope you enjoy coming back each day to a cosy, quiet and comfortable pod 😊 The space Kitchen table seats 3 and can also be used comfortably as a work surface with a laptop. The lounge area sofa rolls out to form a double bed if required to form the maximum occupancy of 3 people. Bedding for the sofa bed can be found in the storage section of the sofa. Equipped with a double induction hob and combi microwave oven/grill, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. 32 inch TV with Netflix and Disney Plus, 24 inch TV with Netflix. Hi Speed WiFi. Amazon Echo Dot. Bathroom with waterfall shower. King Size bed. Comfortable sofa in lounge area faces wall mounted 32 inch TV. Small shower room with toilet & wash hand basin. Please note that the stored hot water heater system popular in Glamping Pods allows approximately 15 minutes of hot shower water before taking 60 minutes to fully reheat. Guest access The entire pod and the front of pod for car parking. There is also a picnic bench out front which is solely for our guests. Other things to note Although the pod is within a walkable distance to/from town it is not advisable to do so if you have luggage as it is not a flat route to walk. There’s a fairly regular bus service going through the village every day apart from Sunday and there are an abundance of taxi operators on the Island. We do advise that our location is more suitable for those travelling by car/motorbike/bicycle etc. The Islands get very busy particularly over the summer months so booking the ferry as early as possible is highly recommended. Please note that the stored hot water heater system popular in Glamping Pods allows approximately 15 minutes of hot shower water before taking 60 minutes to fully reheat. The electricity supply to the Pod does not have the capacity for electric vehicle charging so charging of electric vehicles is not permitted.
