Cozy Studio Apt on Mountain Farm

Nestled in the Mountains of Western North Carolina, our home and farm is truly a mountain sanctuary. Home to our beloved farm animals and lots of wildlife we invite you to enjoy this place as much as we do. Our farm has a little bit of everything -- from epic sunsets to donkeys and ducks, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Open to all! The space Mountainwise Farm is also a working farm that specializes in small-scale intensively and ecologically grown produce - including vegetables, mushrooms and medicinal herbs. When you choose to stay with us during our growing season (March- Dec.) you will undoubtedly witness the daily operations and work of our farm business! Our small farm is also home to many animals including: Chickens, Ducks, Guinea Fowl, Mini Pigs, a Donkey & a Mule, Bunnies, and a handful of Cats. You may hear the rooster crow in the morning or the donkey bray as you drive up the driveway - just some the sounds that make it a magical place to be! Our farm is located at the top of a hill (please note the 1/2 mile gravel driveway) and West facing (for the best sunsets). Guest access WINTER BOOKINGS - Please note that inclement weather, such as snow or ice can make road access to the farm more difficult. In the case of severe winter weather, 4x4 wheel drive will fare better on the 1/2 mile gravel drive. Guests have access to the private apartment above the garage (which is our workspace), with private entrance. The apartment is simple, bright, rustic and cozy. The space includes and large bathroom with shower and a small kitchen area equipt with fridge, stove, dinnerware, and a few other odds and ends. Guests are encouraged to walk around the farm! Other things to note We do ask guests to kindly consider our zero meat policy on this farm before booking. Out of respect for the rescued and adopted farm animals that live here, we ask this of all visitors who come through the farm.
