A House with A View

Conveniently located on Route 52 only 2 hours from NYC, our comfy country getaway sits on over 100 acres and is 10 minutes from everything you need in town. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the orchard, a beautiful kitchen and dining room surrounded by windows, a 5 minute walk through the woods to the lake for a picnic and swim, a fire pit in the yard, and a cozy living room to finish off the day with a movie. What more could you ask for?!? The space Our rental is the first floor of a two story house. Nobody will be occupying the upstairs during your stay, so you’ll have your privacy. There are two bedrooms, a primary bathroom attached to one, and another full bathroom in the common area. Both bathrooms have bathtubs. The kitchen and dining room are big and airy surrounded by windows on three sides plus two skylights. Off the dining room is a big deck overlooking the orchard. The living room is big and cozy with a sectional couch, MCM swivel chair, and TV. There’s a den between the two bedrooms with another couch that can fold down for extra sleeping space. The private lake is about a 5 minute walk down the hill through the orchard with a picnic bench, dock, and canoe available for guests to use. The house does not have a view of the lake but looks down over the orchard to a different pond at the bottom. Guest access Guests stay in the first floor of a two story house. Nobody will be accessing any part of the house during your stay unless you need us to swing by to help with something. Other things to note Our kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas range and double oven. We keep cookware, dishes and utensils stocked so guests have the capability to prepare whatever meals they desire. The yard has a small firepit, charcoal grill, and wood fire oven. Grilling utensils and some firewood is available, but bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan to grill. We have good wifi but due to our rural location occasionally there are outages. Just something to consider if any guests have important work or video calls during their stay.
