The space This stylish studio apartment has its own kitchenette and full bathroom. Located in a very peaceful rural setting, It features sunny south-facing views of Arcata and distant hills, oak and black walnut hardwood floors, beautiful slate entry and mantle for the gas stove, tiled bathroom, hand-made walnut writing desk, and WIFI. The apartment has it's own entrance via stairs to a private deck. The loft is over our garage and our bedrooms are at the far end of the house...so there is no need to move carefully, we won’t hear you at all. The apartment has a very comfortable queen size bed with both Tempurpedic and organic down alternative pillows as well as high thread count cotton sheets and a down-alternative comforter. The space features custom woodworking throughout, original artwork, hardwood floors and an antique rug. The kitchenette has a two burner induction stovetop, mini fridge, microwave, coffee grinder, automatic coffee maker and a pour-over cone, tea kettle, pots/pans etc. The kitchen is stocked with good coffee, tea, and treats in the fridge. We supply shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is a blow drier in the bathroom. An ironing board and iron are also provided. The main living space has a beautiful slate mantle with a cute little gas stove to keep you warm, along with a comfortable couch. We are blessed to live on a stunning piece of property that is both secluded yet close to everything. . There are several resident deer families that frequent our yard in the mornings and evenings, along with foxes, raccoons and an occasional skunk. Guest access Azalea View Retreat is a separate apartment above the garage of our home. There is private access via a staircase up to the apartment's deck.
